Hrdinová, Lucie Michaela

The results of the research should provide information on how the integration process and the integration and migration policy could be improved and thus more effective.

Italian Foreign Policy towards Libya in the Context of Externalization of Migration Control
Přeček, Marek ; Mejstřík, Martin (advisor) ; Kasáková, Zuzana (referee)
Since approximately the 1990s, the countries of southern Europe have been developing a policy of so-called externalization or transferring responsibility for immigration and asylum procedures and obligations to other countries, in response to the growing waves of immigration. Since the beginning of the century, Italy and Libya have been developing various forms of this cooperation, with dynamic changes based on the internal political situation in both countries. This thesis examines the development of the given policy on the part of Italy after what is probably the biggest qualitative shift in mutual relations, i.e. after the events of the Arab Spring and the change of the Libyan regime. The aim is therefore to analyze the nature and development of the conception of Italian foreign policy towards Libya in the area of migration, from the position of the executive leaders of this policy, i.e. the prime ministers and the ministers of the interior and foreign affairs of the governments of Matteo Renzi, Paolo Gentiloni and Giuseppe Conte (2014-2019). The research question therefore deals with whether the selected Italian governments have continuity in their conception of migration policy with the previous cabinets in the line of securitization and externalization of migration, and we can therefore talk...

Prokhoshin, Aleksei ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Filipová, Lucie (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the topical issue of the asylum policy, which is one of the most pivotal topics in contemporary German politics. The bachelor's thesis presents basic information about the position of the CDU on asylum policy and provides the historical context of immigration to Germany and specifically to Baden-Württemberg. Afterwards, it analyses the development of the attitude towards the asylum policy of CDU Baden-Württemberg's key personalities chronologically, also analysing the argumentation of their stances, for which primary and secondary sources are used. The primary sources are session protocols from the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg; the secondary sources are regional news articles and several chosen monographs, which serve to provide the thesis with political and social context, which is crucial for a more precise interpretation of CDU Baden-Württemberg politicians. Based on the conducted analysis, one may conclude that the biggest shift in...

The use of 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade in migration crisis as part of national border protection
KURŠ, Ondřej
The threat level of a migration crisis is high. Recently, we have been able to observe the situation on the border between Turkey and Greece. It is extremely tense and might trigger the same kind of migration crisis as in 2015. This dissertation investigates a potential migration crisis threat posed to the Czech Republic, its focus point being the section of national border between the Czech and Austrian Republics in the area of Dolní Dvořiště. This section is analysed and compared in two time periods: border security in the years 1979-1989 and after the conclusion of Schengen Treaty, as provided by a battalion of 15th Border Guard Brigade and a unit of 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade, respectively. The aim is to identify possible ways of securing the national border and preventing its crossing in two independent time periods.
