Central bank communication is a hot topic because, in a world where in-formation travels at the speed of light, it is in the interest of central banks that their monetary policy is properly understood and does not spread uncertainty. The thesis will focus on the period 2016-2020, during which the Fed, BoE and ČNB changed their key rates in an attempt to tighten monetary policy. The text summarises the current understanding of central bank communication and then analyses three central banks to use the comparison to improve the ČNB's current communication strategy.
Measurement of Clarity of Financial Stability Reports

The topic of this diploma thesis is to measure and investigate the clarity of Financial stability reports from 27 European central banks. Using unbalanced panel data from 2004 to 2017 we found out variables that determine the level of clarity of Financial stability reports. Clarity indices are calculated by Flesch-Kincaid readability tests. Based on our results, we claim that the clarity of the Financial stability report is affected by the level of independence of the central bank and by non-housing macroprudential policy index. Furthermore, the clarity of Financial stability reports changes among years and especially during the financial crisis. According to spatial models, the distance between central banks really matters in the terms of the clarity of Financial stability reports.
Communication of the Czech National Bank During the Foreign Exchange Interventions in 2013

This thesis focuses on communication of the Czech National Bank during the period two weeks prior and two weeks after the announcement of monetary intervention in the year of 2013. Theoretical part consists of contextualization of the Czech National Bank communication into the scope of marketing communication and public relations studies. Author in this chapter also comes up with his own definition of central bank communication. Descriptive part of this thesis consists of description of socio-economical situation which predated the monetary intervention. Practical part deals with the case study research method and research questions are given. Analytical part consists of case study of communication of the CNB during given period. In conclusion of this thesis is a summary of analysed data and the authors' communicational recommendation.
