The bachelor thesis gives a comprehensive view of various aspects of Italian state and business protocol. It aims to facilitate Czech entrepreneurs to establish business relations with Italians and entry to Italian market. It confirms or refutes some preconceived ideas and stereotypes about the behavior of Italians during a business meeting. The first chapter focuses on explaining diverse forms of protocol. The second chapter describes selected areas of Italian state protocol. The third chapter deals with Italian cultural specifics and business practices. It describes various aspects of Italian business protocol. The final chapter provides information obtained through interviews related to Italian business meeting.

The first part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the explanation of the terms diplomatic protocol, state protocol, ceremony. Furthermore, it deals with the state protocol in Germany, the procedure of official state visits and also with the German national symbols. The other part is aimed at the German business protocol and the intercultural differences. We can find there the principles of the preparation of a business negotiation with German partners. In the final part the reader can acquaint with modern trends in the business negotiation which are nowadays common part of a working day of businesspeople dealing with German colleagues.
Diplomatic protocol in France

This thesis describes diplomatic protocol and particularly on its application in France. The aim of this thesis is to provide complete analysis of diplomatic protocol and to approach the principles of French protocol and ceremony on specific examples. The thesis is made of three chapters. The first chapter defines terms of protocol, diplomacy and others diplomatic terms. The second chapter is concentrated on diplomatic protocol in France. The aim of this chapter is for example an explanation of rules of ceremony, table manners and diplomatic correspondence. The third chapter is devoted to state protocol in France. This chapter concentrates on state symbols, public holiday and state honours.
