Annotated translation: Musik - Sprache - Rhythmus. Bemerkungen zu Grundfragen der Musikphilosophie.

I open this bachelor thesis with my translation od Andreas Luckner's philosophical essay Musik - Sprache - Rhythmus, contained in a collection of an editorial series of the German publishing house Edition Text + Kritik. The translation is followed up by a three-part commentary. In the first place i tis an analysis of the original text according to Christiane Nord. Next, I present the translator problems I faced during my work. The analysis is concluded with a summary of the translation shifts, as per Anton Popovič and Jiří Levý, that I employed in the conversion from the source to the target language. The thesis is conculded with a description of the translation method. The translatd text discusses the relationship between music, language and rhythm from a philosophical, musicological and linguistical point of view. According to the author himself, the text does not reach a clear and complete conclusion, which occasionally appears to be problematic for the translation. When translating, I primarily considered the functional aspect, which determined the translation method I used. I tried to maintain the dialectics od fidelity and transparency.
