Preparation and Characterization of Biochar - the Effect of Pyrolysis Conditions and the Source of Used Biomass
Novotný, Maximilián ; Pořízka, Jaromír (referee) ; Kalina, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on preparation of biochar samples, which were characterized to reveal influence of preparation conditions on biochar properties physical-chemical properties. Preparation conditions covered temperature range of 400 °C to 700 °C and 2 different residence times were used. Biochars from each source biomass has its own characteristics, however the similiarities between biochars from different sources were found. Biochar yields were specified and the minimum yield was at least 24 %. Analysis on content revealed, that oat brans, mixed wood and corn residue contain a lot of organic matter, relatively, and also contains a lot of organic carbon. Results of structural analysis confirmed individual structural properties, porosity and content of function groups in particular. Influence of higher pyrolysis temperature results in slightly lower yields, however it provides products with higher content of organic carbon and higher surface area, in majority of cases. Subsequently, it was found out that short residence time of 10 minutes does not have to be enough for all used biomasses. On the basis of gained data, the preparation or production can be optimalized in effort to make usage of residue biomass more effective in different application, not only in agronomy sector.

Careful preparation of the teacher for the teaching unit, both theoretical and practical, is an important element of the teacher’s work and is essential for the teacher’s success and the benefit of his students. This work is intended primarily for beginning teachers who do not yet have much experience and therefore thorough preparation is all the more important for them. The aim of the work was to describe the issue of teacher’s preparation for teaching a specialized subject and the proposal of preparation for teaching units and field exercises. The theoretical part deals with the theoretical basis of teacher training and the practical part offers detailed proposals for the preparation of two teaching units of the course Environment and preparation for field exercises in this course. Methods of analysis, comparison and synthesis of theoretical knowledge of the obtained cited sources were used for the elaboration of the theoretical part. In the practical part, the knowledge from the theoretical part was used for the preparation of the topics of individual lessons, and appropriate scientific resources were used. Open, kind, friendly, but consistent attitude of the author towards students and various methods used to design preparation for lessons and field exercises can be an inspiration for other young teachers. However, the author adds that each teacher has a unique personality and style, which also changes and develops with new experiences and so each preparation will naturally always be different.
Surfing in the landlocked countries
Gross, Adam ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Hruša, Filip (referee)
Title Surfing in the landlocked countries Objectives The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to explore from the perspective of people who permanently live in a landlocked country, whether it is possible to sufficiently train and prepare for surfing in oceanic conditions. Methods This project is an empirical-theoretical work in which a quantitative research method in the form of questioning was used. Data was obtained through an online survey that contained mostly closed questions, along with a few semi-closed and open questions. The total number of questions was 24. The survey was distributed through various social media platforms aiming at people with previous or current surfing experience who live permanently in a landlocked country. Data collection took place using the Google Forms application. Results The results of the thesis show following: From the respondents' point of view, the conditions for learning, training and preparing surfers in a landlocked country are not comparable to the conditions of a country that has an ocean and offers the opportunity to ride real surfing waves. Conclusion In conclusion, the results of the survey have addressed the research questions. Based on the answers received from the respondents, it is possible to say that some individual parts (components) of surfing...

Training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in hospital - preparation of the simulation scenarios
BUROŇOVÁ, Nikola
Presented thesis deals with the topic of training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation at hospital and preparation of the simulation scenarios. It contains theoretical and empirical part. The objective of the thesis was to find out about the process of the training for nurses at hospital. To analyze their readiness for providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation based on training they absolve. And then to map missing elements within cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. Three research questions were focused on these objectives. In which way current training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation at hospital takes place? To what extent are nurses ready to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a patient at their workplace? Which shortcoming contain trainings of cardiopulmonary resuscitation at hospital to this point? For gathering the necessary information, qualitative research was chosen. The technique of semi-structured interviews and observation was chosen. The research sample was made up of 11 probands, meaning nurses working at chirurgical and intern standard department and chirurgical and internal intensive care unit at the same hospital. The condition of the same workplace was chosen so all nurses will have absolved the same trainings. The results of the research shown that training does not involve simulation training, but nurses would welcome this option. Training takes place at prepared mannequins, not within a simulation scenario and authentic situation at a department. Also, mostly on the basis of absolved trainings they feel prepared to provide CPR at their department but mostly because they know that they are not alone at the department. Among the most common shortcomings of the training they rank aids to CPR - real mannequins, real situation but also training room. The thesis will be beneficial to development of CPR training for nurses but also for students getting ready for the profession of general nurse. And that mostly because of simulation scenarios creation which are output of the thesis and is based on research in which we tried to find out opinions and needs of nurses connected with training.
Preparation of radiopharmaceuticals at the department of nuclear medicine
ČERNOHORSKÁ, Eliška
The bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for the department of nuclear medicine. The theoretical part describes the basic terminology related to radiopharmaceuticals, their production, acquisition, methods of preparation or dosage forms in which they are applied. Part of the work is also devoted to no less important effects of ionizing radiation and protection against it, which is related to the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals. The theoretical part is processed from professional publications, articles and websites in the form of literary review. The aim of this thesis was to describe the preparation of most used individual radiopharmaceuticals for certain examinations at the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the Hospital of České Budějovice, a.s. This aim was fulfilled in the practical part, where were described the individual radiopharmaceuticals, the detailed procedure of their preparation and the principles of their storage. The practical part also includes requirements for workplace equipment, cleanliness of the operational environment (clean room construction, cleanliness classes, air conditioning, requirements for workers and their work, which is based on aseptic work procedures and the principles of radiation protection. The work contributes to the knowledge of the operation and equipment of the workplace and the requirements placed on it, as well as to the understanding of the preparation of individual radiopharmaceuticals at the department of preparation of radiopharmaceuticals. The work is conceived as an educational text especially for students and staff of the field of radiology assistant. I also focused on outlining the operation and layout of the OPR, the requirements for work in this department, which is based on aseptic work and protection against ionizing radiation. Both research questions were fullfiled by this. This work can be, in my opinion, used as an educational text especially for students and staff of the field of radiology assistant.
