The thesis focuses on implementation of selected technology within the company CPU-Kocourek, s.r.o, which provides varied internet services. Based on the theoretical part and the analysis of the current situation are proposed solutions suitable for the management of access network provider. The proposal part contains selection of the best proposal and its implementation into the routine mode of operation.
Measuring of System Load in Embedded Linux
Skopal, Jakub ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the quantities which characterize the load of the embedded systems based on the Linux kernel. The library was designed and implemented to observe the load of the system in order to facilitate and unify the observation of individual quantities and their reciprocal coherence. Due to the lack of external dependencies of the library the memory requirements are low. To demonstrate the use of the implemented library, a program was designed which depicts the graphs of measured quantities in real time on a remote computer.

Experimental testing of bus peripherals on single-board computer Beagleboard.
Hladík, René ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis obtains a kind and possibility of communication, which single board computer offers. Check range of communications using mobile robotics and summary for this system. The result of this work provides a configuration all peripherals for Beagleboard system using. The introductory part of work is focuses on the definition and summary single board computer systems. Description main differences single board systems. Next point is competition and summary single board computers from the world's leading manufacturers and hardware differences. The next part is making complete description and summary of using single board computer Beagleboard xm Rev C. Practical realization obtains the most important interface of communication, which we can use in case of prototypes mobile systems. Realization of USB camera, multifunctional interface GPIO, serial communication of CMUcam3 camera module and in conclusion I2C communication using GPIO SRF08 ultrasonic sensor. Demonstration of Beagleboard system diversity, what can use all users of embedding systems in mobile robotics. Modern mobile robotics systems are complex analog and digital devices like different kind of sensors, sensing elements, cams and else. Bachelor work describe basic configuration some possibility communication with using cameras, sensors and systems elements.
Design and realization of a developement board for BeagleBoard
Ťapucha, Andrej ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
Contents of the thesis is to design and create an expansion board for the BeagleBoard computer one plate . The first and very important part was to find out all the possibilities for an extension of the computer itself . Choose the right expansion port . To study the possibility distribution of individual pins . Followed by the appropriate extension election districts that demonstrate the function of each enlargement . Test was designed PCB that contains circuits that change the voltage level of the BeagleBoard to protect a mini computer to the testing of each gusset periphery prevent damage to itself or part of the BeagleBoard . The peripherals themselves bind different parts of theoretical introduction. More specifically the extension of the LCD display is selected segment and includes two lines of 16 characters . When the possibility to add additional components were necessary to deal with the shortcomings of the output pins , this problem was solved by using an expander . He extends itself BeagleBoard by another 16 pins . On these pins are connected together on the LCD matrix keyboard . The creation of the board are two circuit temperature sensors , but have a different type of communication using I2C and one second using 1 -Wire bus . The board also contains various other bus outputs , for example, UART bus. It also contains an output pin which can be controlled PWM modulation . The remaining pins are versatile GPIO pins which can be programmed to define a function using the Linux operating system . The result is a final board of the package control programs which make it possible to verify the individual peripherals.
Implementing of GSM modem in PBX Asterisk
Benýšek, Jiří ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Short Message Service (shortly SMS) is the most widely used type of communication systems. The main advantages are that allow a fast exchange of messages between devices, a very good availability through GSM and a reasonable price. Nowadays the SMS service support has expanded to include other technologies such as a service of the information navigation and the remote connection. The master‘s thesis concentrates on the Short Message Service, deals with basic principles and statements using by this service. The topic of the thesis is software PBX Asterisk and its possibility of SMS implementation, especially verification of SMS processing goes through the PSTN. After the basic introduction the master‘s work deals with the installation and configuration of the server. The main focus is on an installation of the operating system with an additional pack including necessary libraries and modules for a correct working of the server. The following section is paying attention to the Asterisk server configuration, especially a hardware card installation which is necessary for a connection with analog telephones, done by Bluetooth connections, set up user’s profiles of the SIP protocol and create a dial plan. This is followed by a verification of SMS option of the implementation and communication with GSM modem which is used as a gate for an exchange SMS between PSTN and GSM network. The last chapter of this master‘s thesis comes with the aimed results.
Cross-platform performance testing of open source PBX FreeSWITCH
Melichar, Ondřej ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the open source private branch exchange FreeSWITCH. The thesis describes the process of installation and consecutive configuration of the telephone system on various distributions of platforms Windows and Linux. Emphasis is placed on comparison of the performance between these systems and also the quality of calls as well as transcoding functionality. Specifically, the performance of the telephone system is tested while using the SIP protocol. Thesis also contains an introduction into the subject and a brief description of the FreeSWITCH architecture and its functions and capabilities.
Advanced methods of filtering network traffic in the Linux system
Peša, David ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Kacálek, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis is meant to provide techniques in designing and building a standalone packet filtering firewall in Linux machines, mainly for small sites who don’t give much service to Internet users. It deals with attenuating the effect of the most common types of attacks using iptables. It guides how to design, implement, run, and maintain Firewall. Techniques for continuously monitoring attacks is attempted. It also give a historical, architectural and technical overview of firewalls and security attacks.
Design methods for computer networks
Božek, Martin ; Stančík, Peter (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
Bacherol‘s thesis deals with a topic of a suitable computer network design for a mid-sized infrastructure, its security and router and firewall realization. This boundary element is able to manage basic processes of network controlling between inner and outer network. There is a brief analysis of OSI model but we focused our attention on TCP/IP model more closely. Our project includes description and outlines an importance of the most common elements of the particular network type and their contribution to the security. Description of the three most frequent topologies of the infrastructure type follows. On the basis of the found information, we have chosen and analysed the most suitable topology from the security point of view. The result of the theoretical part is a network model proposal. In the practical part, some our findings are tested and implemented in a real setting. We used a technology of virtualization for the final realization and testing. Thanks to the virtualization used for realization and testing, we could configure the router and the firewall, which are boundary elements that separate the inner network from the Internet.
