Post-war automotive aerodynamics
Šmerda, Ondřej ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Čavoj, Ondřej (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with charting the development of the automotive aerodynamics in the post-war period. It focuses on principles that go along with car design. The development is demonstrated by aerodynamically significant and unusual cars including racing and record cars. Last but not least, the work compares those cars with today's cars and describes drawbacks of the cars of the given period from today's perspective.
Modelling of flow of two gases
Strouhal, Jiří ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with interaction of two gases of different temperature and chemical composition in gasification chamber ZKG. The first chapter of the thesis is focused on biomass as a renewable energy source. At first, there is definition of term biomass and then description of physical and chemical properties, by-product and basic types of biomass. There are also described the processes of pyrolysis and combustion. The second chapter is focused on different types of combustion and gasification devices. The third chapter of theoretical research briefly introduces basic methods of CFD modeling of processes in gasification chamber including turbulent flow, transport of chemical species and heat transfer. These methods are used for case mixing of combustion air and wood gas in combustion chamber ZKG. In conclusions are evaluated the results of simulation.
Optimizing theater hall ventilation
Lenhart, Marek ; Rubina, Aleš (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focuses on flow theory and optimizing current state of air distribution in theater hall by CFD simulations. A part of this thesis is project solution of one variant.
Modelling of air flow in combustion chamber ZKG
Krišpín, Jan ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
The subject of the submitted bachelor thesis is a description of chemical and physical behavior of biomass, methods of energetic transformation of biomass, processes in a combustion chamber during burning and primarily flowing of combustion air. A part of this thesis is a modelling of an air flow in the combustion chamber using the finite elements method with an evaluation and a suggestion of construction changes of the combustion chamber.
Steam turbine vacuum breaker
Kalivodová, Markéta ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
In this master’s thesis, a preliminary thermodynamic calculation of the turbine is made. Then, the design and location of the vacuum breaker is devised for this turbine. The aim of the master’s thesis is to calculate a time needed to break the vacuum, ie to determine how long it takes to reach the atmospheric pressure inside the turbine and add-on devices. To verify and improve the accuracy of the calculation there are data measured on real projects used.
