The Study of Inbound Logistics in Manufactoring Company

The master's thesis is focused on optimal selection of transportation solution provider as a key activity of inbound logistics department of manufacturing company ABC s.r.o. The summary of general activities and objectives of inbound logistics are followed by the analysis of last selection procedure. Then there is mentioned suggestion of new selection procedure using the methods of Multiple Criteria Decision Making which is based on the knowledge from specialized logistical literature. This work assume that using the methods of Multiple Criteria Decision Making will result in more effective selection procedure in company ABC s.r.o.
The Comparison of Possibilities of the Medium-Term Investments

This bachelor thesis investigates possibilities of the medium-term investments which citizens use to evaluate their free means. The thesis mainly focuses on the unit trust, building savings, saving accounts. The goal is to compare supplies of the companies and products and decide which way or the possibility of investment is the most advantageous according to the chosen criteria. The theoretical review also includes the description of the functioning of the financial market and particular methods of the multiple criteria decision making. The practical part includes ranking of the particular products on the basis of the multiple criteria decision making. The conclusion of the thesis shows andvantages and disadvantages of the particular possibilities of investments and includes recommendation cocerning selection of the product.

The diploma thesis is focused on using methods of multiple criteria decision making, in this case about business accounts. In theoretical part is described the banking systém of Czech republic, then methods of multiple criteria evaluation.The basic aim of this work was to evaluate the order of business accounts in terms of advantageousness, which are offered by banks on the banking market in the Czech republic. The sectional aim of this work is to get known with the problems of optimal choice of business accounts for a certain group of consumers, which in this case are small businesses. Before choosing a new business account it is always necessary to carefully explore banking market and its offers of business accounts. The important part of this thesis is that the certain client has to consider his preferences before we use quantitative methods. In this diploma thesis has also done a survey about the evaluation of business accounts. Then there are compared results of using methods of multiple criteria evaluation of the survey and model client. In conclusion, the results are described in the order of banking products from the best to the worst business account.
Evaluation of life insurance

The aim of the thesis with title Evaluation of life insurance is to choose the most convenient insurance product for a specific client. Since we choose insurance on the basis of several criteria and it is not obvious at first sight which product is the most advantageous, it is suitable to use methods of multiple criteria decision making. In theoretical part basic notions concerning insurance industry and multiple criteria decision making are explained. Next, all methods which are used to determine weights of criteria and to choose the best variant are described in detail. For purposes of the thesis there were gathered drafts contracts for investment life insurance and risk life insurance from seven insurance companies, which means altogether fourteen contracts. In practical part evaluation criteria are determined in collaboration with client and their weights are calculated. Next, order of particular variants was determined. All process was in person consulted with a specialist from the area of insurance industry. On the basis of used methods of multicriterial evaluation of variants we can say that for the specific client the insurance product Bella Vita from the Insurance Company Generali is the best choice. In comparison with other alternatives it´s advantage is insurance payment already from the fifteenth day in case of incapacity for work, which arose as a consequence of injury and high insurance payment in case of hospitalization. If the client will choose investment variant or risk variant depends only on his decision, because their results are comparable.

Modern Methods and Tools to Support Managerial Decision

This master's thesis is focused on modern methods and tools to support managerial decision-making. The first part of this thesis introduces the basic characteristics related to the management and managerial decision-making that are subsequently extended to the area of modeling, simulation, optimization and multi-criteria decision making. It also outlines the relationship between the managerial decision-making tasks. The second part introduces practical examples which show the connection of these areas. Specifically, they are a colony of ants, traveling salesman problem, a tool AnyLogic, analytic hierarchy process and simulation HealthBound. The thesis is further supplemented by an appropriate software tools to support multi-criteria decision making.
Use of methods multiple criteria decision making in the analysis of brand positioning at the market of motorcycles

The aim of this work is analysis of Honda's position at the Czech market of motorcycles based on preferences of men and women. The motorcycles are divided into different groups by engine volume in cubic centimetres and by categories in which motorcycles are included. In this analysis are used methods Electre III, Oreste, Topsis, WSA and calculations are performed by program packages SANNA. At the conclusion, Honda's position in all categories is summarized.
Multi-criteria Evaluation of Stocks Traded in Terms of DJIA on NYSE

The subject of the bachelor paper is multiple criteria analysis of stock traded in the framework of Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index on New York Stock Exchange. The first part of theoretical passage deals with introduction of financial market focusing on stock markets. The second part is focused on describe the history and functioning of New York Stock Exchange and on introduction of DJIA index. The following part is devoted to the theoretical introduction of decision making theory and describing discrete methods in multiple criteria decision. The last part is about application of methods described in theoretical part to the specific shares belonging to DJIA index. The main goal of the paper represents a release of investment recommendation for a potential investor decided to insert his free financial resources into shares of DJIA index which are traded on New York Stock Exchange.

The subject of the diploma paper is Multiple Criteria Decision Making of Stocks Traded on Prague Stock Exchange during financial crisis in the years 2008 and 2009. Diploma paper is divided into two sections. First section mainly focus on introduction of multiple criteria decision algorithms and fields, where are algorithms applied. Main purpose of second part of the diploma paper is to compile classified semence of stocks based on fundamental investment principals and make comparison of various orders based on both years and each algorithms.

The subject of the diploma paper is multiple criteria analysis of stocks traded on Prague Stock Exchange in terms of System for Support of the Share and Bond Markets. The first part of theoretical passage discusses an introduction of exchange markets with an emphasis on Czech surrounding. The next extensive segment enters on decision making theory. In this chapter we can study basic ideas and connections in multiple criteria decision making. The most comprehensive section is created by theoretical study of methods in multiple criteria decision making. The last partition deals with share's analysis which is based on an application of suitable methodical approaches developed theoretically more closely in previous parts of the diploma paper. The main goal of the paper represents a release of investment recommendation for a potential investor decided to insert his free financial means into some of the most liquid stocks on Prague Stock Exchange.
