Financial return of home photovoltaic power plant
Jančík, Josef ; Malý, Milan (referee) ; Mauder, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis if focused on return on ivestment evaluation of a photovoltaic system of residential house. The calculation is made for photovoltaic system with and without accumulation and in combination with other alternative source – heat pump. The costs of instalation and working of new systems are then compared between each other and with the cost of working of a current system without photvoltaic.
Optimization of organic solar cells
Kratochvíl, Matouš ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Weiter, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of large-scale organic solar cells using techniques compatible with large volume production. The theoretical part consists of research summarizing the basic theoretical background of the function of organic solar cells and the current state of investigation of the shift from laboratory to large-scale production. The experimental part deals with the optimization of methods of preparation of layers of structure of solar cells, which can be converted into industrial scale.
Concentrator photovoltaic systems
Straškraba, Vojtěch ; Solčanský, Marek (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is to introduce concentrator photovoltaic systems, history of their foundation, evolution and application, principles of function and description of technology including its construction, optics, special photovoltaic cells and their cooling. The practical part of thesis describes the experimental concentrator photovoltaic system build in cooperation with Solartec s.r.o. company. The system is used to test hypotheses and study the behavior during its operation. The aim is to measure concentration ratio, temperature and electrical characteristics and to compare advantages of active and passive cooling of photovoltaic cells.
Draft mix for network independence
Horváth, Radovan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the development of research on the topic of the draft mix for network independence. Next is the outline the various design solutions of the battery systems for accumulation electric energy and balance model energy supply system for the selected object. The practical part of diploma thesis deals with necessary resources and the size of batteries for autonomous operation during the summer months and also implements technical and economic studies aimed at finding cost-effective solutions. The work is divided into 6 chapters that contain 16 tables and 18 figures. Diploma thesis brings an option to configure a photovoltaic system and also describes the features, functions and the choice between the most used technologies. Evaluation of results of theoretical methods are described in the final part.
Conversion efficiency of various means of electricity production from solar radiation
Wolf, Juraj ; Tuhovčák, Ján (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of bachelor thesis contains various methods of converting solar energy to electricity. This study analyzes their conversion efficiencies, potential growth and versatility. Considered technologies are photovoltaic and concentration solar system. Thesis reviews new trends for enhancing conversion efficiencies for both methods and evaluates their potential for future depending on their achieved efficiency, power output, maintenance requirements, climatic condition and demand for addition equipments needed for their application.
Photovoltaic cells for supplying low-consumption electronic devices
Stránský, Patrik ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
Goal of this bachelor thesis is to design the power supply for low-consumption electronic devices based on Lithium-polymer battery, which will be charged by photovoltaic cells. The main task is construction of Li-Pol battery charger which will respect fluctuating voltage supplied by solar cell.
Measurement of C-V characteristics of photovoltaic solar cells
Šťavík, Jaroslav ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement of CV characteristics of photovoltaic cells and the consequent derivation of the free / bound charge in the volume. It also discusses factors that influence these measurements.
Monitoring of photovoltaic power plant Brumovice
Šumberák, David ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Pochyla, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with monitoring of photovoltaic power plant with nominal performance 3,075 MW. The first part describes the principle of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy, summarizes the principles of the photovoltaic phenomena, current trends and promising options. The following part of thesis an introduction to photovoltaic power plant in Brumovice, it is her monitoring and determining the efficiency. In the last part metod of calculating return power plant is describes.
Environmental solution of a house with a café in Zaječí
Medková, Tereza ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
In my master's project I design a nearly zero energy consumption house with a café in Zaječí. The 1ST part of this project deals with a structural part of the building, which has two above-ground floors and basement. On the basement are storerooms and rooms for technical equipment, on the ground floor is café and living room with kitchen, and on the second floor are bedrooms, bathrooms and cloakrooms. Footings are from cast-in-place concrete, the load bearing walls on basement are from formwork blocks with cast-in-place concrete, on above-ground floors are from ceramic blocks and every non-load bearing walls are also from ceramic blocks. On whole floor are reinforced concrete floor slab and flat green roof. The 2ND part deals with technical equipment of the building. There are gas boiler, floor heating, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation (HVAC), photovoltaics panels with energy storage, retention tank, external blinds and biodynamic lighting. The 3RD part compares several options for using solar energy in combination with different heat sources in terms of energy and economic efficiency of the building.
Energy efficient terraced house
Král, Jakub ; Bečkovská, Tereza (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis is a design of a new energy efficient terraced house in the gap site. Building has two dwelling unit of category 4+kitchenette and 6+ kitchenette. Building has a cellar, two floors and an attic. The cellar structures and horizontal structures are made of reinforced concrete. Sand-lime bricks are used for masonry. The building is covered with gabled roof with timber roof truss. In this building there are used rainwater and renewable energy in a form of electrical energy made by photovoltaic panels.
