Praská, Vendulka ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Krátký, Petr (referee)
Title: Basic anthropometric characteristics of 400 m and 800 m runers. Student: Bc. Vendulka Praská Supervisor: PaedDr. Jitka Vindušková, CSc. Objectives: The main objective of this dissertation is comparison of anthropometric characteristics of 400m and 800m runners. Another objective is analysis of relation between somatometric parameters and physical performance of 400m and 800m runners. Methods: In this thesis was used comparison method of athletes' body characteristics using graphs and correlations of anthropometric characteristics with physical performance. Results: We found, that average body height and weight of 400m run athletes is 1,84 m and 73 kg for men and 1,70 m and 60 kg for women. Average body height and weight of 800m run athletes is 1,77 m and 65 kg for men and 1,66 m and 53 kg for women. Furthermore we found by using statistical calculations that there is a direct relation between body height, weight and physical performance. Methodology: The work has the character of a two-case study. Methods of literature search, analysis, comparison and evaluation were used. The analysis of training records and competition results of two athletes from the 2017 season was used to compile this work. I analyzed their performances in individual seasons. I also performed an analysis of training records, where general and special training indicators were evaluated and compared with the results of similar analyzes of other athletes. I analyzed the results of two tests in the biochemical laboratory, which we completed during the preparation for the 2017 season. Conclusion: When comparing the training records with the professional literature and with selected athletes, we come to the conclusion that the training load was insufficient for the monitored athletes. As a result, they could not achieve better results this season. By...
