Vehicle routing problem with heterogeneous fleet
Künzelová, Barbora ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
The master's thesis deals with the new modification of vehicle routing problem -- 3PL vehicle routing problem with heterogeneous fleet and split delivery. In addition to classical vehicle routing problem, we consider a heterogeneous suppliers fleet and also external carrier, which charges a fixed value per unit of transported goods. The reader is first introduces to vehicle routing problem, its history and possible solutions. Furthermore, the reader is acquainted with logistics and logistics providers. In the main part of this thesis is described 3PL vehicle routing problem and its mathematical model. At first we try to get optimal solution via CPLEX solver. But since this is an NP-hard task, heuristic method is proposed (in two variants) for solving this problem. The heuristic is then tested on the selected test tasks. Results obtained using the proposed heuristics are compared with the optimal solution. Even larger problems are then solved using this heuristics. In the end other modifications and possible improvements of this heuristic method are proposed.

Marketing of a 3PL provider
Bareš, Vladislav ; Vinš, Marek (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
Services of 3PL providers are nowadays very commonly used by production and merchant firms. It is happening due to companies' concentration on their own core-business and outsourcing of many of their activities to external suppliers. This thesis is focused on marketing activities of a 3PL provider, which is a specific part of the B2B market, as well as the logistics market. The thesis consists of three parts. First chapter is focused on theoretical definition of marketing and individual aspects, which marketing is concerned with. In the second part, the logistics, the specifies of 3PL logistics and the logistic market in the Czech Republic are presented. These theoretical findings are applied to a particular firm. Its marketing strategy is evaluated and a set of recommendations is proposed to enhance marketing position of the company.
Production and logistics analysis in the chosen company producing food products
GONDEK, Petr
The diploma work deals with the analysis of the logistic chain of the company Friall s.r.o., which is a producer of frozen potato specialities. Based on this analysis I wanted to discover weak points in functionality of the logistic chain and find suitable precautionary measures as well as solutions leading to an improvement of the current situation. The diploma work is focused on the raw material entry and self-production of the products.
Logistics outsourcing within manufacturing corporation
Jakeš, Michal ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis has been created on demand of the management of OEZ s.r.o. to analyze outsourcing prosess of logistics within this manufacturing corporation. The theoretical introduction part defines outsourcing, outsourcing history, pros and cons, 3PL and 4PL. One chapter deals with implementation process of outsourcing. Analysis of foregone outsourcing process and project for better solution are key elements of second practical part of the thesis.
