The object of metropolitan significance on the street Benesova Brno

Design of a new metropolitan city hall located on the Brno ringstrasse concentrates all workplaces city government in one place, namely in the northern part of the embankment between Benešova and Koliště streets near the former customs building palace Moravia. The underlying assumption is the future transfer of the main station and the release of area for the park (today trackage) and other construction.

Adding value to waste material - eggshells

The submitted thesis deals with the utilization of waste materiál – eggshells and the evaluation of this waste raw material to obtain interesting and valuable products. In the introduction of the thesis are described properties, composition and structure of the eggshell rich in minerals and the composition of its membranes. In the next part of the thesis is evaluated potential utilization of this waste as a fertilizer, adsorbent, possible uses in medicine and pharmacy, utilization in electronics, as a catalyst in the production of biodiesel and its further uses.

Structure-Space-City "Urban block completion"

This thesis deals with the completion and density of urban development. The area is located at an exposed place on the crossroad of Milada Horáková street and Francouzská streets in Brno. The disposal is deep and corner in a slightly sloping topography, surrounded by a busy city boulevard and urban block structure. The proposal is based on a pre-diploma thesis dealing with the analysis of close surroundings, visions for the 21st century city and the completion strategy. The starting point was a multifunctional building, which includes functions of housing, work and services. The main theme of the propsal is the interconnection of the inner and outer space in a compact townhouse.

CFD modelling of the initial phase of fouling inside convective section of a combustion facility

The aim of this thesis was to create, based on the knowledge obtained from research, a CFD simulation of initial phase of fouling of solid particles during the combustion of solid fuels. The introduction of the work summarizes the mechanisms of fouling by solid particles. The introduction of the work summarizes the mechanisms of fouling by solid particles. Approaches to modelling the impact and deposition of particles are also described. A model is built, which is implemented in the ANSYS Fluent software with the addition of user-defined functions. The model is tested on a model of the convective part of an experimental device for burning solid fuels.
