Molecular aspects of calcium-phosphate metabolism in renal complications of diabetes mellitus.
Šimáková, Eva ; Černá, Marie (advisor) ; Zajíčková, Kateřina (referee)
Introduction: This thesis deals with the calcium-phosphate metabolism and its role in the development of chronic diabetic complications. It examines calcium sensitive receptor, which can be crucial in affecting calcium metabolism. Calcium-sensitive receptor may play a role in intracellular signaling and metabolic pathways that lead to cell proliferation and extracellular matrix early diabetic nephropathy. We investigated two polymorphisms of the gene for calcium-sensitive receptor (intron 4 and codon 990). Material and Methods: The study included 313 diabetic patients, 41 patients with type 1 diabetes, 106 patients with type 2 diabetes, 110 diabetic patients with type 2 diabetes who had diabetic nephropathy and 56 patients with renal failure non-diabetic (NDRD). It was also examined 72 non-diabetic patients with chronic renal failure (CKD) and 96 healthy blood donors (ZK). Classification of diagnoses is listed in the theory. DNA was isolated by QIAamp DNA Blood Mini Kit and salting method. The specific fragments of gene for the CaSR were amplified by PCR. For detection, restriction fragment length polymorphism and TaqMan probes were used. The expression levels of mRNA were determined by real-time PCR. Results: For the codon 990 polymorphism, we found statistical significance of the genotype frequencies (AA,...
Creative use of digital technologies in literary education
Zajíčková, Kateřina ; Šindlerová, Jana (advisor) ; Králíková, Andrea (referee)
Digital applications may serve as tools for making the content of literary education more attractive and for developing pupils' competences, creativity and flexible thinking. Therefore, the aim of this mainly practically oriented work is to explore the didactic potential of selected digital applications in literary education and literary communication. In the theoretical part, we first present both the disciplinary background of our work and the existing knowledge on the use of digital technologies in education, including the main opportunities and risks that these technologies can bring to the educational environment. The practical, more extensive part contains a description of selected specific digital applications suitable for use in literary education classes, for which we evaluate both their didactic potential and the demands on the digital competence level of the user-educator. Finally, the creation of our own digital resources with sample methodologies is also included in the thesis.
Vertical, temporal and sound constants in the Karolína Světlá's novel Kříž u potoka
Zajíčková, Kateřina ; Vaněk, Václav (advisor) ; Heczková, Libuše (referee)
The main purpose of submitted thesis is the complex analysis and interpretation of the novel Kříž u potoka (The Cross at the Stream) written by Czech female writer Karolína Světlá. The thesis brings several new perspectives how to construe this literary work and perceive its inanimate components as a mediator of the plot or as it's direct participant. Interpretation is demonstrated on three most significant constants which are present in the storyline - vertical space, time and sound as well. However, the author also outlines another options of viewing this literary work through different marginal perspectives. The result of this thesis should be the broad analysis of the text, which would bring its comprehensive picture from dissimilar points of view.
