Optimal Fuselage Design of Aircraft-Amphibia “Seagle”
Weis, Martin ; Dofek, Ivan (referee) ; Kouřil, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the analysis of geometric shapes fuselage amfibie SEAGLE and propose optimal shapes for the improvement of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic properties.
Wing High Lift Devices
Rakovský, Kristián ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Horák, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with wing high lift devices. Thesis states the purpose of high lift devices, their division, a brief overview of their history and a detailed description of particular devices with mentioning their advantages, disadvantages and usage in aviation. A part of the thesis also contains a short statistic, which compares wing high lift devices of high capacity transport aircraft.
Wing structure
Kaňák, Ondřej ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deal with the wing structure of small aeroplanes. Step by step we are discovering different kinds of constructions and their usage in aerospace industry. Characteristic signs (shape, geometric, load), advantages and disadvantages construction types are shown in this work.
Design of amphibian aircraft based on VUT 001 Marabu
Prokop, Vít ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
My master´s thesis deals with the design of amphibian hull for VUT 001 Marabu aircraft. Part of this work is aerodynamic and hydrodynamics design of hull including flight mechanics with, take of and landing on the water. The last point of work is load calculation of float and landing gear and design of landing gear retraction mechanics.
The genesis and development of the B-737
Habrnal, Lukáš ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis deals with the genesis and development of the jet airliner B-737. It describes the historical background and context of the creation, subsequently it describes development of different generations of the airplane. Each generation is discussed in separate chapter which includes chronological list of all its types, their brief description and it states differences from their predecessors. A short chapter is dedicated to brief development of technical handling. The conclusion consists of concise recapitulation together with an assessment why B-737 has become one of the best-selling jet aircraft in the history of civil aviation.
Material nonlinear solution of structures made of plastics
Weis, Lukáš ; Krejsa,, Martin (referee) ; Králík,, Juraj (referee) ; Kytýr, Jiří (referee) ; Němec, Ivan (advisor)
The presented thesis focuses on static analysis of plastic structures, taking into account nonlinear behaviour of the material depending on the stress. The static analysis is performed using the finite element method. The difference between material linear and material nonlinear approach is illustratively described in the introduction. A shell finite element, which is enhanced by the possibility of further delamination into layers and integration points along its thickness, is suitable to be used for a numerical analysis of a plastic structures. Separate chapters are devoted to the integration of the resulting values over the height of the cross-section. The integration of the material stiffness matrix correctly reflects the emergence of eccentricity. A part of the attention is devoted to the numerical quadrature rules. Next chapter is devoted to material nonlinear models. Two approaches are described: a simpler one, using the isotropic nonlinear elastic model, and more general one, using the orthotropic plastic model. The theoretical description is complemented by the graphic interpretation of the criteria according to the individual authors. A significant portion of this work is devoted to the algorithmization of calculation procedures described in the theoretical chapters. The algorithmization itself is implemented in Fortran language into a dynamic-link library which is part of the software program RFEM 5 which is widely used in engineering practice. A part of the work is a study comparing the performance of the different technologies applicable for the algorithmization of the described issues. The agreement of the theoretical analysis of the material models and subsequent implementation within the RFEM 5 is demonstrated on the example of the bent cantilever. The thermoplastic aboveground tank structure is subject of detailed material linear, and nonlinear analysis respectively. The various approaches are compared on the results of stress, deformation an
Wing design of the gliders
Löffelmann, František ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
Thesis treats influences of geometrical characteristics on aerodynamic wing properties generally meaning, wing construction load and describes typical wing design. Next there are introduced basic requirements on gliders, according to regulation CS-22. Consequently there are described composite structures and there is sketched their design. There are described wings of two different present high-performance sail-planes (Schleicher ASW 22, SZD56-2 Diana-2). Finally there are compared modern gliders, their performances and on this basic there are compared performances of 15-metre Class and 18-metre Class.
Efficiency incerasing of axial compressors of jet engines
Fojtl, Michal ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with axial compressors of jet engines and with increasing their efficiency. First part describes basic principles of compressors, losses, stall and surge and compressor characteristics. Second part deals with possible solutions for increase of their efficiency and pressure rise. These solutions are summarized and possible combination is recommended.
Advanced conception of school gliders
Šponer, Jan ; Zablatzký, Jiří (referee) ; Weis, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis offers a view of flight regimes of school glider and the demands placed on it. These demands depend on requirements of the training plan, aero clubs, instructors and students themselves. You will find a selection of gliders for training used in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia from 1950 and evaluation of positive and negative properties of these gliders. Further on, it is outlined how the best glider for training new pilots should look like.
Remotorization of the aircraft EV-55 Outback
Puller, Tomáš ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Horák, Marek (advisor)
Thesis Remotorization of the aircraft EV-55 Outback deals with possibility of installationt piston diesel engine instead of turboprop engine PT6A-21. Begining of this thesis deals with choice of convenient engine and propeller. Then, 3D model of engine bed is designed, followed by mass analysis. Based on results from the mass analysis and requirements from the CS - 23 regulation, load is specified and stress analysis is done. The other part of this thesis deals with adjustment of the airframe and with calculation of flight performances. Finally, economic indices are specified.
