Product Innovation Using CAE and Additive production
Bočková, Pavla ; Videcká, Zdeňka (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the design and construction of an innovated shape of the clamping mechanism of the one-handed dumbbell. The clamping mechanism model and other parts of the dumbbell are modelled using the parametric modeler called SolidWorks. The resulting model is printed on the Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer using the Fused Depositionion Modeling method. The thesis also includes the introduction of selected CAx systems, the characteristics of Rapid Prototyping as well as the FDM method and materials used. The end of the thesis is completed by the technical economic evaluation of the production of the proposed prototype of a one-handed dumbbell.
Design and construction of a magnetorquer
Sedlařík, Marek ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of satellite control using a magnetic field. Describes the physical principle of the magnetorquer and its interaction with the Earth's magnetic field. It contains a summary of advantages and disadvantages of individual solutions and their comparison with alternative control systems. Includes a search of currently available devices. It introduces the standardized CubeSat nanosatellites, their subsystems and ECSS standards, which define the parameters of equipment for space applications. It deals with the issue of the geomagnetic field, its fluctuations and describes selected orbits of the planet Earth. The main part of the work contains a description and implementation of the test system, which consists in the design of the printed circuit board, the program part of the test board and the user interface. This part also includes a detailed design and implementation of a two-axis magnetorquer, including simulations.
CoreXY type FDM 3D printer
Kyselica, Martin ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Jaššo, Kamil (advisor)
The aim of this work is a theoretical evaluation of the properties and differences between the relevant 3D printing methods with a closer focus on FDM. The principles of the basic types of 3D printer mechanisms using this technology are explained in more detail and compared with each other. The solution and parts list of FDM 3D printer with CoreXY mechanism is proposed which is then constructed and tested.
Magnetic field measurement
Dušek, Jiří ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes ways and technology for measuring of the magnetic field. Furthermore it deals with comparing sensors for magnetic fields measuring and creating a basic conception of the meter. For design of conception was selected sensor HMC2003 from Honeywell company. Design of conception describes two units, which meter contains. Conception include power, compensation and reset circuits. After that is detailed describe layout of both printed circuit boards, setting up and soldering components. Output of this meter is signal of the three axis of sensor. Meter was subjected to trial run, which verified functionality of the whole device.
Model of bipedal walking robot
Čermák, Jan ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is produce a two-legged walking robot. This robot will be able to walking independently forward, without any assistance of human, after predefined trajectory. Whole thesis includes design of the robot construction, model the robot, following theory related to printing the robot on 3D printer and programming of robot walking.
The effect of the shape of the intake ports for pumping in a Scintillation detector.
Flídr, Karel ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with the design of the shape of suction canals used for pumping in the scintillation detector. The goal is to perform analysis of the model of the detector according to the current conception and then perform an optimalisation of the suction canals as per demands to their function. In the beginning of the thesis the history of the microscope and electron microscopy is described. The next chapter is focused on a more detailed description of ESEM. The following charter is dedicated to describing the scintillation detector. The thesis recounts the kinds of liquid flow. In conclusion the programs SolidWorks and Ansys Fleunt are described. Next part of this thesis describes in detail parameters‘ settings of simulation calculation. Following chapter introduces designed changes of suction channels shape and its results are shown and described.
Numerical model of ultrasonic oil level sensor
Chutný, Pavel ; Bílek, Michal (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis verifies physical principle of ultrasound in fluids by numerical model. At first, ultrasound study is ment. In second theoretic part, diferent kind of motor oils are described. Next, equations for numerical simulation are presented. In practical part, numerical model of level sensor is examined in well-knowed fluids (water, air). Results of laboratory measurement on topic of ultrasound velocity in oil dependent on temperature are aplicated on numerical model of sensor and optimalized.
Design of a 3D scanner for educational purposes
Paprsek, Adam ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the submitted semestral project is research of 3D scanning object methods. The 3D scans utilization and types of these scans have been mentioned in the first chapter. The scanners are grouped into two basic methods – contact and contactless. The second chapter is dedicated to 3D model measurement principles, which are described in detail in four sub-chapters. In the following chapter is described design with complete realization 3D scanner with the implementation of the application for its controlling. Last part of the thesis concerns the 3D model editing and method evaluating.
Analysis of the shape of the intake ports of the current concept differentially pumped chamber
Bílek, Michal ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This master´s thesis discusses the analysis of the shape of the intake ports of differentially pumped chamber for the current concept. The first part is an introduction to the microscopy issue, then it is focused on ESEM microscopes and it also includes a describtion of the Flow dynamics and a mathematical describtion. In the following chapters the software Solid Works, where the model of differentially pumped chamber is created, and the software Ansys Fluent, which is used for analysis, are described. The second part concerns the proposed concepts and the results of their simulations. At the end of the work the results are analyzed and evaluated.
Calibration and evaluation of data from strain gauges
Dubina, Jozef ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes calibration and evaluation of data measured from tensometric sensors. The labour describes tensometers in general, their functions, aplications and principle of operation. Loading data from tensometric sensors is next part of this labour, where are information how to convert analog to digital signal output, which is ready for processing and shows real values. After signal is converted to digital signal, is needed to calibrate tensometers to receive high precission values of weight according to reference load. Thesis describes choices of electronic and mechanical components for building digital scale. Software developing for this electronic equipment is described in next part of thesis.
