Detection of Sleep Apnea in Adults

The goal of this work is to construct a device detecting apneic respiration pauses during sleep. The most common cause of apnea pauses is obstruction of the airways, eg, airway collapse. Apnea leads to a deterioration in the quality of sleep and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. The controller is designed on the Arduino Uno development board. The whole measuring device consists of two circuits for measuring the external manifestations of movement of respiratory muscles and a microphone for measuring the presence of air flow.
Design of a Robotic Cell for Operating a Jet Machine for Cleaning Castings

The main goal of this master’s thesis is to create a design of robotic cell for operating of blasting machine. Operation of blasting machine consists of robotic manipulation of aluminium castings from input container to the blasting machine conveyor. After blasting operation aluminium castings are manipulated by robot from conveyor to output container. The part of the master's thesis is proposal of several variants of solution of design of robotic cell. Afterwards the best option is selected. The thesis also deals with design and selection of functional components in robotic cell. Functional verification of robotic cell is made in software Tecnomatix Process Simulate. Technical-economics evaluation is also part of this master’s thesis.
Design of the material feeder

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a design of material feeder for milling machines or other machines in joiner production. The first part of this thesis deals with the issue of woodworking and the use of material feeders in the machining process. The following part is a description of basic structural elements, design of solution variants and characteristics of products available on the market. The last part deals with the design, computational documentation and strength analysis of the stand. The result of this thesis is a drawing documentation and 3D model of the material feeder assembly.

The administration of drugs to patients is affected by human error, with polymorbid geriatric patients being most at risk. The trend today is to create systems that reduce the error rate of medication administration. This work describes the creation of a functional sample device for tablet identification. It will serve as proof of concept for grant application of the Department of Applied Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy MU. Theoretical part of this thesis digs into the legislation and registration of pills. Device was created and detection and classification algorithms were developed. The classification worked with parameters detected from photos of pills from different angles in the device. Color of the pill, the size, the weight, it’s shape and the glossiness were taken into account. Future variants of this device could reduce the error rate of administering drugs in more than one home for the elderly.
