The goal of the thesis is to implement a new Content Management System using a Ruby on Rails framework. The system is required to faciliate a simple publication of documents in various forms. It should also provide multilingual environment and support custom interface templates.

Complex System for Web Page Creating and Editing

This thesis describes a system which offers customer registration and user administration-related tasks. It also facilitates an apparatus for supervising service fees. Above all, it provides users with tools with which they can create their own web site with ease and also change its content and appearance. This is achieved by using templates and modules. The Document also analyses specifications for this type of application, describes phases of design and implementation and draws out possible continuation of this project.

This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of Java technologies (JSP/Servlet) and .NET (ASP.NET and C# ) for the purpose of the formation of the content management systerm. It describes technologies used in theory, defines demands for the formation of the system and analyses its concept. The depiction of implementation of the system is realised in the form of comparison of implementation of individual parts of particular language. Gained pieces of knowledge are to be found in the enclosure.

Main topic of this work is comparation of existing web application tools and platforms. The most known tools and platforms are theoretically compared in the introduction. The next aim of this work is design of a web application and implementation using tools ASP.NET C#, PHP and Ruby On Rails. Experience with these tools is summarized at the end of this work.

Software Architecture and Design Patterns in Web Applications

This text describes software architecture and design patterns for web applications together with theirs advantages and disadvantages. The main theoretical part is focused on detailed description and comparison of three patterns and their practical use. A schema of an application with all its parts (use-case diagram, database and objects schema) will be created using UML and subsequently this application will be implemented using the tree chosen patterns. Based on this implementation, the best use for each pattern will be evaluated in the final part of this text.

Extendable Information System of SDC with a Multi-Tier Architecture

This master's thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of an information system that allows easy extensibility with three-tier architecture. System is developed using object oriented approach by programming language PHP, relational database server MySQL and web services and protocol SOAP. The View tier is implemented by web technologies XHTML and CSS. Analysis and design of this system is done with using the modeling language UML. In this thesis is described the problem of multi-tier software architecture, theory of development information's systems and described design and implementation of an information system with a three-tier architecture and it's application in the society SDC.

Multilanguage Photo Server on Ruby on Rails

The goal of my Bachelor Thesis work was to to create multiuser and multilanguage web photoalbum. Users can give permissions for their albums to other users. Beacause i used Ruby on Rails framework the product should be multiplatform. The basic achievement of this work was to understand this framework and use conventional programming in Ruby language. Next step was to decide what services would the photoalbum provide to users and then i designed the model which i then implemented. For the best compatibility betweet different platforms the aplication is implemented on SQLITE3 database system, this can be changed in configuration file.

Object Relational Databases

This bachelor thesis focuses on object-relational database systems. It describes object relational model defined according to standards SQL and utilization of these standards in Oracle 10g product. It also contains information about database analysis, design and implementation of sample application, in which specific aspects of object-relational model of Oracle 10g server would be illustrated. Rational Rose was chosen for database design, because it involves support for object-relational design. This thesis also analyzes, which object-relational extensions are included in implementation tool Oracle Forms 10g and utilization of PL/SQL language for implementation of database application.
