Tato práce se převážně soustřeďuje na analýzu prozaické tvorby Milana Begoviée, která je téměř výhradně věnována postavě ženy. Snaží se zdůraznit neprávem opomíjený, avšak vyjímečný způsob autorova ojedinělého formálního i tématického zpracování ústředního motivu, jehož prostřednictvím ztělesňuje všestranně nahlížený pro fil ženské duše. V mnoha tvůrčích aspektech Begoviéův opus zcela splňuje kritéria nejvyšší úrovně světové literatury. O to více překvapuje, navzdory nepodloženému mýtu o autorově ustašovské orientaci v období druhé světové války, trvale nízký zájem, který domácí literární sféra projevuje o Begoviéovu osobitou tvorbu. Je velmi obtížné najít v chorvatské literatuře dílo, které by podobně jako Begoviéův společenský román "Giga Bariéeva" mělo schopnost aktuální výpovědi a zároveň nadčasové, aby i po uplynutí mnoha desetiletí od svého vzniku neztratilo pro současného čtenáře přitažlivost. Cílem této práce je u příležitosti sto třicátého výročí narození původem dalmatského literáta Milana Begoviée upozornit případné české zájemce o chorvatského autora na kompozičně vyjímečné zpracování dané tematiky, které nesmírně citlivě zobrazuje psychologii chorvatské ženy na počátku dvacátého století. The phraseological fund in the writings of Miro Gavran

The thesis outlines the definition of phraseme, it being based on expert syntheses of Czech, Slovak and Croatian phraseology, and describes the types. This description is used as a clue to work with selected texts. The main part of the thesis is devoted to analysis in which selected prose and dramatic texts of Croatian writer Miro Gavran are analisedin. Idioms from the texts were first traced, sorted and then processed and exmined. The goal of the analysis was to observe the procedures which the author uses within his phraseological fund. It was ascertained that phraseological combination are more frequent in comedies and humorous texts. Furthermore, it was found that variants of auctorial phrasemes are created in similar practices.

Tradition of purism in Croatian linguistics

The main topic of the doctor's thesis is tradition of purism in Croatian linguistics, i.e. the development of Croatian language from the point of view of the thesis of purism as a constant in Croatian langauge. The focus is placed by the author on the role of Croatian linguistics in building such a traditional image. The thesis furthermore explains motives and perspectives of the mentioned tendency. The thesis questions the role of purist principles in the construction of language identity and analyzes long-term consequences of this tendency in Croatian linguistics. The introductory chapter gives an overview of theoretic opinions on the term of purism and current ideas of the recent socio-linguistics and furthermore explains the position of Croatian linguistics on the level of purism of Croatian language. Puristic tendency of Croatian language is in Croatian linguistics considered analogue to the language development. Therefore, purism is a very important element of identification built into the character itself of Croatian language. Czech language teaching to the slavic people (focusing on the South Slavonic area)

The thesis deals with the teaching of Czech language for foreigners. It focuses on issues of teaching typologically close language, which is Czech for speakers of Slavic languages (specifically Bosnian / Croatian / Serbian). In the theoretical part the thesis defines and classifies positive and negative language transfers. It compares the typological differences in Bosnian / Croatian / Serbian and Czech. The thesis also deals with phenomena that are difficult for students of Czech language. It focuses on issues of interference errors and interlanguage interference, which is based on research conducted on the students of Czech studies at the Zagreb Faculty. The teaching of Czech in Croatia is described. The thesis presents chosen textbooks and describes some of the major methods of teaching foreign languages. It briefly introduces the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In the Annexe to this thesis, see examples of questionnaires, examples of student translations from Czech into Croatian and examples of transcripts of the listening exercises.
