Implementation of the interdisciplinary approach from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts

My Diploma Thesis deals with facial cleft defects. It focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches in their therapy in the Czech Republic from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts. Moreover, it monitors the current trends in this area. Based on the directive, American Cleft palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and the Standard of care for patients with cleft lip and palate in Europe, the Thesis surveys the implementation of those recommendations into cleft centres in the Czech Republic. Concept of educational materials for parents of children with orofacial clefts

Má rigorózní práce se zabývá problematikou rodin, kterým se narodilo dítě s rozštěpem obličeje. Zaměřuje se na zmapování současných a aktuálních potřeb rodičů těchto dětí. Dále reflektuje činnost občanských sdružení zabývající se podporou rodičů dětí s rozštěpem obličeje. Předmětem mé práce je vytvoření informačního matriálu pro rodiče dětí s orofaciálním rozštěpem. Tento cíl je podložen důkladným průzkumem terénu, kdy se tento požadavek opírá o tři zdroje: závěry mé diplomové práce, současné zacílení aktivit občanských sdružení a aktuální průzkum mezi rodiči dětí s orofaciálním rozštěpem. Práce tedy vychází ze současného a aktuální dění, reaguje na potřeby v oblasti komplexního přístupu péče o rodiny dětí s orofaciálním rozštěpem v České republice.
