Time Lapse from Stationary Camera Image
Turek, Lukáš ; Bařina, David (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The topic of this master's thesis is the time lapse from stationary camera images. Unwanted phenomena, which arise in time lapse, were analyzed and algorithms to overcome these limitations were designed. The algorithms were implemented and compared using the captured dataset. The resulting application creates time lapse from the video input and allows users to choose the processing technique including the setting of appropriate parameters.
Business Plan for Expansion of a Small Enterprise
Kropáček, Petr ; Turek, Lukáš (referee) ; Khateb, Fabian (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the company development through investments into new technologies of production facilities and business development. In the theoretical part the main concepts which form the structure of the business plan are defined. In the next section the actual situation of the company is analyzed. Based on the results of the previous analysis the precaution for future overall development of the whole company is proposed.
Design of linear ball screw actuator for higher axial load
Turek, Lukáš ; Klapka, Milan (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solves the construction of a servomotor with a moving screw for higher axial loads. The aim was to design a servo actuator for an axial load of 25 kN, which can be clamped from both sides. The partial goals were to develop an overview of electro-mechanical servo actuators, to analyze the force ratios, load capacity and service life of the current actuator solution. Further process the calculation and design of the actuator, including drawing documentation of selected components for higher axial loads.
A Tool for Analysis of User's Typing Skills as an Add-On for Firefox
Turek, Lukáš ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to create an application running in background, saving statistic data about typing. This data is evaluated on user's demand and displayed in a transparent form. The purpose of this feedback is to help improve typing skills. The aplication is implemented as a Firefox add-on. In this technical report I focus on the theory of touch typing technique, clarify the motivation to create my application and describe its design and implementation. There is a separate section devoted to technologies that are specific to developing Firefox add-ons. In the summary I objectively try to evaluate the benefits of this work based on experience from the users.
Wireless Networks Security
Turek, Lukáš ; Forst, Libor (advisor) ; Jirovský, Václav (referee)
This thesis compares the security of several wireless technologies and studies the security of networks based on IEEE 802.11 standard more in detail. Methods of securing are assessed in the view of resistance against eavesdropping, unauthorized access, DoS attacks and also attacks from inside of the network. Examples of configuration and in some cases also ways of attack are demonstrated. The thesis also studies related problems of secure passwords selection of and stored login data protection. At the end it suggests a way of securing a home network, a company network and a network of Internet service provider.
Flow control for the IEEE 802.11 access points
Turek, Lukáš ; Janeček, Jan (advisor) ; Peterka, Jiří (referee)
Wireless networks based on IEEE 802.11 standard (Wi-Fi) are nowadays often used as a last mile of Internet connection. However the standard was not designed with this use in mind, so this kind of deployment is rife with problems. One of these problems is high latency of network under high load caused by the absence of flow control. The present work explains why flow control algorithms implemented in operating systems cannot work in Wi-Fi networks e ectively and why even the 802.11e amendment yields no solution. Subsequently an algorithm designed specially for Wi-Fi networks, which divides bandwidth equally among clients and minimizes latency while not reducing network throughput, is proposed. The function of the algorithm is con firmed by simulation in OMNeT++ environment and the algorithm is then implemented in Linux and FreeBSD operating systems.
