Internet slang and its influence on language competences
Tunková, Kristýna ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Samek, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis focuses on the Internet slang or so-called netspeak and how this type of language manifests itself in various spheres, including the physical space. Physical and virtual worlds are generally considered to be separate and are not ascribed the same value. However, I want to show through my work that these spheres are not only interconnected but they can even be perceived to be equal while taking into account that interactions taking place in the virtual environment cannot be described as less real or valuable. Therefore, the research took place in the Internet environment, which is the homeland of netspeak, and also in the physical space. I specifically observed high school students because these age groups are generally considered the most typical (social) media users, therefore they come into contact with netspeak frequently. The methods of collecting data included non-participant observation in the physical space of classrooms (during lectures and study breaks), and also in a teachers' office, interviews with students in both physical and virtual forms of communication, and analysis of various visual materials. For my research, I applied a combination of theoretical concepts and methods of socio-linguistics, digital anthropology, and netnography. These fields, together with other...

Author: Kristýna Tunková Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with a diagnose of cervicocranial syndrom This thesis deals with cervicocranial syndrome. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and specific. The theoretical part describes different kinds of headaches with the possibilities of their therapy. A case study of a patient suffering from cervicocranial syndrome is described in the specific part. This patient underwent therapy in Medicentrum Praha in the period of 18. 1. - 2. 2. 2012. The case study includes initial kinesiology examination, on which basis targets and therapy process have been set. It also includes the description of therapeutic methods and final kinesiology examination, after which the effect the described therapy was evaluated. Key words: cervicocranial syndrom, secondary headaches, physiotherapy, case study

Tunková, Kristýna ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Comparative analysis of the kayak forward stroke Objectives: The aim of this study is to describe and to compare the kayak forward stroke performed in the pool with countercurrent and on the flat water. Methods: The research was conducted in an intentionally chosen sample of eight kayakers with high level of performance in whitewater slalom. We watched activity of twelve selected muscles during kayak forward stroke performed in the counterflow pool and on the flat water by surface electromyography and kinematic analysis. Study evaluates intraindividual and subsequently interindividual muscle timing and the size of the muscle activation due to maximal voluntary contraction. Results: The results proved the same timing of muscles in counterflow pool and on flat water. The muscle activity in the counterflow pool was bigger than on flat water. Key words: kayak, counterflow pool, surface electromyography, paddling
