Relationship between Czechoslovakia and Egypt in the Years 1952-1958

The thesis deals with the relationship between Czechoslovakia and Egypt during the years 1952 - 1958. This period was chosen because many important historical events took place that time. Egypt went through the revolution of 1952 as well as the Suez Crisis and joined political union with Syria. The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first and main section is dedicated to the political relationship between both states. The following chapter is focused on cultural issues and the last one is devoted to the economic relationship. The aim of the thesis is to analyze these relations and their development. As far as the sources of information are concerned, it was necessary to study extensive archive materials, which are mainly preserved in the Archive of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Little Entente on Pages of the German Press in Czechoslovakia

This bachelor thesis deals with articles about The Little Entente in German press printed in Czechoslovakia. It briefly presents the history of The Little Entente and also Czechoslovakian journalism in 20's and 30's. The topic as such is discussed in the two last chapters. One describes years 1920-1922 and its main resource of information was the Clipping Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It shows what were the crucial topics in which the press was interested concerning The Little Entente. The other charter shows the ways in which three events important for The Little Entente were treated in six chosen German newspapers (Freiheit, Volksrecht, Vorwärts, Reichenberger Zeitung. Deutsche Landpost and Aussiger Tagblatt) of different political orientation. The chosen events are the Treaty of Alliance between Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia (1920), the Treaty of Alliance between Czechoslovakia and Romania (1921) and the Organisation Pact of The Little Entente (1933). There follows also brief analysis of the course of events in Yugoslavia and Romania. The purpose of thesis was to find out whether and how German press in Czechoslovakia informed about The Little Entente. Key words: The Little Entente, Press, Yugoslavia, Romania
