The situation of Ukrainian women and children after Fleeing the war conflict and their adaptation in social and societal conditions in the Czech Republic

In 2022, an armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine began, known as the Russian invasion or the Russian-Ukrainian war. Russian aggression against Ukraine culminated in an attack on 24 February 2022, making the conflict the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II. Russia has sent its troops into Ukrainian territory under the pretext of protecting Russian citizens and Ukrainian pro-Russian separatists. This was the culmination of several weeks of high tension, when Russia carried out military exercises near the Ukrainian border and massed troops in the Crimea and Donbas regions. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky declared mobilisation immediately after Russian troops crossed the Ukrainian border. The European Union, the United States and other countries have condemned Russia's aggression and have provided military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Sanctions have been imposed on Russia. This conflict has caused global political tension and raised fears of a further deterioration in relations between Russia and the West. At the time of writing this thesis, it has been over a year since the Russian aggression on Ukraine.
