Comparison of patents and trade secrets as possible ways of protecting intellectual property rights Abstract The thesis Comparison of patents and trade secrets as possible ways of protecting intellectual property rights compares the institutes of patents and trade secrets and highlights their individual positives and negatives. It first addresses the question of whether both protection through patents and trade secrets can be alternatively applied to the same subject matter. Subsequently, since in the case of patents, the law specifies the subject matter which cannot benefit from such protection, it discusses whether or not it would be appropriate and possible to protect those particular subject matters through trade secrets. The thesis also compares the various defining features of the two institutes. The second part discusses the differences in the acquisition and disposition of patents and trade secrets, focusing on the process of obtaining patents, the scope of protection afforded by a given intellectual property right, and the ways in which these forms of protection are extinguished and revoked. This highlights the administrative and financial complexity that accompanies protection through patents as opposed to the informalized protection of trade secrets. The personality of teacher as an educational instrument in prevention of sociopathology

A purpose of this study was to contribute to the subject of an available theoretical characteristic of the teachers personality. To complete such a study seemed to be good reason for a practical excersize. The task was to conduct an objective evaluation of four teachers and compare it with their own selfevaluation. To achieve that, teachers were first rated anonimously by their students and afterwords through an observation technique by the author of this study. As per the students rating, all four teachers passed as good teachers. However, personality of each teacher was found to be very specific, showing some unique characteristics. That led to a final conclusion, which differs substantially from the theoretical opinion on the same subject, found in the literature.

Postavení České pojišťovny na českém pojistném trhu

Práce se zabývá postavením České pojišťovny, a.s. na českém pojistném trhu. Je v ní popsán historický vývoj České pojišťovny od jejího založení v roce 1827, další část je věnována analýze postavení na trhu a hospodaření společnosti od její transformace na akciovou společnost až do současnosti. Poslední část se zabývá praktickou záležitostí ? tím, jak vypadá cesta pojistné smlouvy od návrhu smlouvy až po uzavření obchodu s klientem.

Analysis of the revenue the state financial statements for the years 1993 - 2007

This work deals with the general theme of the state budget and the state financial statement. The specific objectives of the work is the analysis of the state financial statements of the Czech Republic in the years 1993 - 2007 and mainly evaluate the success rate of governments in drawing up national budgets in comparison with results published in the state financial statement for individual years. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter consists of a theoretical basis for the next chapter. It deals with the characteristics, the content and explanation of the most important elements of the state budget and the state financial statement. The second chapter addresses the secondary objective of the work, the analysis of the state financial statements of the Czech Republic in the years 1993 - 2007 in terms of revenue. The third chapter is focusing on analysis and evaluation of the success of governments in the compilation of selected parts of national budgets.
