Specific processes and management in utility companies

Master thesis analyses factors which has influence on a way of process management within utility companies. Thesis expands results of previous researches from the of utility market and information systems field. The main objective is to prepare an overview and comparison of specialized ERP systems to support specific business processes of utility companies and analysis of selected ERP solutions against factors that influence the development of these systems. The partial aim is to analyze innovation factors, information acquisition and processing to theoretical basis. The benefits for the reader is the overview and comparison of ERP systems, overview of risk factors influencing the successful implementation and effective operation of the ERP system, analysis and design solution to strategic challenges in utility industry and analysis of partial ERP system againt these challenges.
Analysis of IT management according to the ITIL framework

The aim of bachelor's thesis is to introduce the ITIL v3 framework, package of publications, for ICT service management. This set of publications provides the best practices within managing of ICT (Information and communication technology) services and infrastructure for ICT managers. It could be useful for ICT manager in specific company. The content of thesis is a comparison of IT services management in specific company with the best practices set out in ITIL. Bachelor's thesis could be helpful for ICT decision maker to obtain a general overview, whether implement ITIL completely or take some recommendations suitable for the dimensions of his IT department. The output of thesis is a description of current situation and to identify areas that are already solved by ITIL v3. The ICT manager will obtain a situation picture of his IT department governance in comparison with the ITIL framework, how it could be developed and what risks are there, if he won't respect certain recommendations, which are not implemented.
