Human Rights in Free Trade Agreement between the EU, Colombia and Peru

This paper focuses on the role of the human rights in the European Parliament decision process. It was created as reaction to blame the European Parliament for not considering the human rights when voting for Free Trade Agreement between the EU and Colombia and Peru. The purpose of this paper is to find out whether the European parliament is the protector of human rights in the world or not. An in- depth examination of the Trade Agreement itself, level of democracy in both countries, actions taken by European Parliament and an extensive discourse analysis proves that the European parliament is the protector of human rights. Part of the paper is also devoted to the question of readiness of the Parliament to get involved and to intervene in case that the democratic situation in Colombia or Peru gets worse. Multilateralism in the European Neighbourhood Policy

This paper focuses on the existence of multilateral relations among European Union and its Eastern neighbors. The purpose of this paper is to study whether and to what extent multilateral relations have existed with Eastern states since the introduction of European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Paper deals as well with the progress of these relations emphasizing mainly the evolution after the release of Eastern Partnership. An in-depth examination of different aspects of the above mentioned relations confirms the paper's assumption that the multilateral type of relations have existed since the startup of ENP and that they were deepened by Eastern Partnership. The final part of the paper is devoted to the assessment of multilateral dimension of Eastern part of the European neighbourhood, its interpretation enriched by current debates.
The Actual Peruvian Economy: Identification of the Threats to Competitiveness

This paper focuses on the competitiveness of Peru. Peru is actually one of the fast growing economies. At the same time, the country has not reached the necessary development for maintaining this growth. An in-depth examination of three different areas confirms the paper's presumption that the structural reforms are necessary to maintain the country's potential. The paper presents the concrete aspects of the structural reforms.
