Completion of the city block - Křížová street
Polanská, Andrea ; Prudík, David (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis, I focus on the completion of the city block on Krížová Street in Brno. The given area is located in the city center near Mendel Square. In my design project, I take into account a modified arrangement of the “Kras” area and I respect the alteration of the street based on the design awarded the 2nd prize in the Mendel Square idea competition held in 2018. The aim of my thesis is to find the optimal urban concept, building program and architectural design of two town houses.
How will we grow up together?
Polanská, Andrea ; Müller, Rudolf (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
My diploma thesis is based on my pre-diploma project called “How will we live together?”. The project was a collaboration of the whole atelier (collective), the result of our work was theoretical concept and urbanistic arrangement. We have done research and defined these terms: reciprocity, globalization and sustainability. Afterwards, we have applied our research on our solved area of the former sugar refinery in Šlapanice. The aim of our concept was to break the borders between the young and the old generation and between the individuals and the families. The concept was questioning the conventional lifestyle. Therefore, our urbanistic design was miscellaneous and was also helping to connect people of different ages. In the end, we had three questions to answer: How will we live together? How will we work together? And finally, how we grow up together. The last one has become the subject of my diploma thesis. The aim of my thesis is to design the draft of a kindergarten conjoined with housing for seniors. The designed complex should encourage people to interact. It should be a place to spend time together, create an intergenerational social network, and make the communities more attractive. It is not just about connecting seniors and children, but also about creating a community. The project is also concerned about a sustainable future in harmony with nature, because it can solve many world problems.

Společenská odpovědnost firem jako součást ekonomického terciárního vzdělávání
Polanská, Andrea
The diploma thesis deals with corporate social responsibility especially with education at the universities in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to propose recommendations for the development of Corporate social responsibility (CSR) subjects at universities with an economic focus in order to best meet labor market requirements. The first part of the thesis is a literary research which explains the concept of CSR. One part is focused on the relationship of social responsibility and education. In the framework of my own work, an analysis of the current situation of CSR in education was carried out both at home and abroad. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, analysis of secondary data and interviews, recommendations were subsequently formulated. It was directed to the greatest possible connection with practice in the form of internships, lectures by practitioners and various projects organized by students themselves.
