Contemporary criticquest of school education and their ideological sources

The Bachelor thesis summarizes the fundamental criticisms of contemporary education, which is being reflected in the official direction of the Czech education. This direction is determined based on strategic documents, in which it is possible to follow ideological origins. For the purpose of the thesis, contemporary education means the post-revolutionary period of Czechoslovakia and subsequently of the Czech Republic. To understand the context of the criticisms, the thesis briefly maps the development of the Czech education system with emphasis on the period of establishment of the compulsory education system and its subsequent changes in the historical context. The focus of the thesis is the analysis of texts presenting various forms of criticism of the traditional education system.

Novel compounds active against methicillin-resistant staphylococci and vancomycin-resistant enterococci

The bachelor thesis deals with compounds acting on methicillin-resistant staphylococci and vancomycin-resistant enterococci. It overviews suitable established or newly used antibiotics that are effective in combating these resistant strains, as well as new potentially useful compounds. The theoretical part includes information about particular strains, their characteristics, laboratory diagnostics and an overview of the diseases they cause, as well as information on mechanisms of resistance to clinically used antibiotics. Knowledge of these mechanisms is important for the future synthesis of new drugs. The second part reports the drugs themselves and promising compounds in development that are suitable for particular strains. The thesis discusses both already established compounds and potential compounds in various stages of (pre)clinical development.
