The bachelor thesis pays attention to the theme of The Locative Singular Mascular and Neuter Based on the Corpus Material (the distribution, interchangeableness and frequency of the endings -u nad -e). The work is focused on the polymofphism of the declination paradigmas hrad and město in the singular form, specially on the competition between the endings -u and -elě. The bachelor thesis compares the approach to that problem in classic and modem czech grammars: Nauka o českém jazyku, Stručná mluvnice česká, Mluvnice češtiny (2), Příruční mluvnice češtiny, Mluvnice současné češtiny. Apart from the main ending introduction grammars orientate on the factors, which may affect the future ending selection. A frequant faktor is the case correspondence between genitiv and lokativ, specially in the Alois Jedličkas language guide O češtině pro Čechy.
