Study of novel materials and nanostructures for spin photonics and electronics
Pavelka, Martin ; Veis, Martin (advisor) ; Hamrle, Jaroslav (referee)
This work is dedicated to the study of two magnetic materials. Thin films of ferrimagnetic alloy GdxFe100−x fabricated with different compositions near the compensation temperature x . = 25 by magnetron sputtering on Si substrate with the usage of Ru and SiO2 capping layer were investigated. Measure- ments of the magneto-optic Kerr effect spectroscopy and magnetometry showed opposite signs in magnetization when the compensation temperature composi- tion exceeded as well as the enhancement of the effect for SiO2 capping layer. Spectroscopic ellipsometry revealed the complex diagonal element of the per- mittivity tensor. An attempt to prepare thin film of ferromagnetic tetragonal D022 − Mn3Ge was made. That was done firstly by calibrating Mn and Ge targets in magnetron sputtering machine and secondly simultaneous deposition of the elements on MgO (001) substrate with Cr buffer layer. 1
Google Chrome OS - theory and practice
Pavelka, Martin ; Halbich, Čestmír (advisor) ; Radomír, Radomír (referee)
In my thesis, I focus on the operating system Google Chrome OS, determination of its characteristics, definition of target group of the operating system's users and comparison of available applications with those available for other operating systems. In the theoretical part, historical development of Google is analysed first, followed by the issue of Google Chrome web browser and analyse of the operating system Google Chrome OS. The practical part starts with evaluation of survey on the operating system Google Chrome OS and is followed by multi-criteria analysis of variants comparing various categories of applications available for the operating system Google Chrome OS and other operating systems, in this case represented by the operating system Microsoft Windows 8.1 and distribution of Linux operating system Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Tool for Writing and Progress Tracking of Technical Report
Pavelka, Martin ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the design, implementation and testing of modern web app- lication which allows continual writing of technical documentation and following the whole creation process. A teacher de nes the structure of the project and makes it accessible to students. The student continually writes the documentation. The process will be recorded by the system and the statistics will be displayed to students and administrators for their motivation and inspiration.
Design of Circular Engine Mount and Pod Container for Aircraft Sport Cruiser with Jabiru Engine
Pavelka, Martin ; Plhal, Martin (referee) ; Urík, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deal with double problematic both engine bed of Jabiru 3000 engine and by overhead container. In both cases the engineering design is solved with compliance of ASTM F2245-04 LSA rules. The structures are shaped by Catia V5R17 software. For calculation of acting forces of bar model of the engine bed Finite Element Method software Patran was used. Strength verification of both engine bed and container was done analytically.
Analysis of Ratings of TV Shows – Lifestyle
Lifková, Hana ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pavelka, Martin (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with current issues of the lifestyle, which serves as a motivation to the creation of television programs. It points to the diversity of the perception of the term "lifestyle" and it demonstrates its link with the various areas of life. The bachelor's thesis characterizes the segmentation based on the lifestyle and its subsequent application in the society as a division of the market to different groups which prefer a particular kind of lifestyle. The interest in lifestyle shows is being studied from two different points of view in the practical part. The first source of information are statistics ratings, the second are results of the own research. The bachelor's thesis provides the information if lifestyle shows are being watched, who are their potential viewers and how lifestyle shows affect the real life of their viewers.
Vliv depozičních podmínek na "power factor " (účiník) tenkých termoelektrických vrstev
Zeipl, Radek ; Walachová, Jarmila ; Pavelka, Martin ; Jelínek, Miroslav
The influence of preparation conditions on the power factor and the dependency of the Seebeck coefficient on conductivity for prepared layers were explored. Layers were prepared by laser ablation from Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. target on quartz glass substrates. Thickness of layers changed from 13nm to 400nm, the temperature of the substrate during deposition varied from 300.sup.o./sup.C to 480.sup.o./sup.C and density of energy of laser beam from 2J/cm.sup.2./sup. to 10J/cm.sup.2./sup..
Annealing of Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition
Pavelka, Martin ; Zeipl, Radek ; Jelínek, Miroslav ; Walachová, Jarmila ; Studnička, Václav
Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. thin films were prepared by laser ablation /PLD/ at room temperature and then annealed in argon atmosphere. Anneling is a widely used method of film properties /primarily crystallinity/ improvement. The influence of annealing on transport properties was studied.
Modification of Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. nanolayers
Zeipl, Radek ; Pavelka, Martin ; Jelínek, Miroslav ; Vaniš, Jan ; Šroubek, Filip ; Walachová, Jarmila
Our Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. nanolayers were prepared by laser ablation. If we use different depositon condition, prepared layers will have different properties, exactly with rising temperature of substrate during deposition laeyrs becoming smoother. We present STM picture of 60nm thick Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. prepared on substrate with temperature during deposition of 400.sup.0.sup.C. We also present modification of layer after many scans were realized by STM on the same place.
Thickness dependence of transport properties of Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. layers
Zeipl, Radek ; Lošťák, P. ; Pavelka, Martin ; Žďánský, Karel ; Jelínek, Miroslav ; Walachová, Jarmila
The transport properties of layers, prepared by laser ablation, as Hall mobility and conductivity on their thickness at room temperature are presented. This thermoelectric materials is potential candidate for many applications as for thermoelectric devices for power generation, cooling and sensors.
