Muscle disbalance in the pelvis area among girls in the age of 16 - 19
Páleníková, Jana ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Malá, Michaela (referee)
Name of the work: Muscle disbalance in the pelvis area among girls in the age of 16-19. The aim of the work: To find out the dibalances in the pelvis area among girls in the age of 16-19. To insert selected stretching and strengthening exercises to the physical education lessons at the secondary sport school. With a help ofthose exercises to reach an abolition ofthe muscle disbalance ofcertain muscle categories that influence the pelvis position. Method: I found out current condition ofgirls studying secondary sport school, 1st and 4th year. I used the method ofobserving, the inquiry method and the method oftesting. I have done entering and output tests and when I have the results I could choose the right exercises to obviate the disbalance in the pelvis area. Results: The results show positive acces but they are influenced by many other factors that I mention in the discusses. Keywords: Pelvis, pelvis declinsion, pelvis position, muscle disbalance

The effect of tick salivary proteins on innate immunity cells
PÁLENÍKOVÁ, Jana
Saliva of Ixodid ticks contains a whole array of pharmacologically active molecules with vasodilatory, antihemostatic, and immunomodulatory activities. This thesis focuses on two types of salivary proteins, serpins and cystatins, and their role in immunomodulation. These protease inhibitors are known to affect many biological functions. To better understand their role in tick saliva we examined their effect on dendritic cells and their ability to modulate the immune response after pathogen infection. As model pathogens, Borrelia spirochetes and tick-borne encephalitis virus were used.
Tick sialostatins L and L2 differentially influence dendritic cell responses to Borrelia spirochetes
PÁLENÍKOVÁ, Jana
Transmission of pathogens by ticks is greatly supported by tick saliva released during feeding. Dendritic cells (DC) act as immunological sentinels and interconnect the innate and adaptive immune system. They control polarization of the immune response towards Th1 or Th2 phenotype. We investigated whether salivary cystatins from the hard tick Ixodes scapularis, sialostatin L (Sialo L) and sialostatin L2 (Sialo L2), influence mouse dendritic cells exposed to Borrelia burgdorferi and relevant Toll-like receptor ligands.
Dynamics of \kur{Borrelia burgdorferi} sensu stricto transmission from the tick \kur{Ixodes ricinus} to the host.
PÁLENÍKOVÁ, Jana
Aim of this study was to examine dynamics and duration of transmission of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto from Ixodes ricinus tick to the host during feeding. We determined infection of Bbss in murine tissues from five time points. Furthermore, we determined the location of Bbss in Ixodes ricinus ticks before and during blood meal.
