The fuel pump improvement, possibilities and limitation
Novotný, Vladimír ; Veselka, František (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with common rail injection systems used at diesel vehicles. It contains an overwiev of manufacturers common rail systems, their construction and differences. The second part contains a description of Bosch Common Rail electrical and electronic components, and described ways of pressure control. Last chapter summarizes the possibilities for development and improvement of some parts of the system in the future.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement
Kolářová, Kamila ; Novotný, Vladimír (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with evaluating the financial situation of company BODOS Czechia Etc. between 2006 and 2010. The aim of this work is to analyze the financial situation of the company and propose options for improving the financial situation. The first part work is contains basic information about the company BODOS Czechia Etc. The second part focuses on theoretical analysis from which I will proceed in the third analytical part. Then I suggest recommendations which should have a positive influence on the economical situation of the company based on the results of this financial analysis.
Implementation of General Discussion Group
Novotný, Vladimír ; Rychnovský, Lukáš (referee) ; Lukáš, Roman (advisor)
This thesis follows discussion forum's problems. This thesis wants to find a new view on various discussions on the internet. There is also a will to fight against spam.  For this purpose is built in analyze system for new contributions. The main object of this thesis is to create an universal internet discussion forum which meets all formal requirements.
Highest energy cosmic ray propagation
Novotný, Vladimír ; Nosek, Dalibor (advisor) ; Nedbal, Dalibor (referee)
Research of the highest energy cosmic rays is in the middle of the interest of theoretical and experimental physics because energies that it can reach is up to nine order of magnitude higher than energies that can be reached at present accelerators. In this work we study propagation of the most energetic cosmic particles. Interactions with the cosmic background radiation and magnetic fields play the prime role of their propagation. Simulations of proton energy losses as well as simulations of energy spectra of secondary electromagnetic components and secondary neutrinos were performed. Also simulations of proton propagation in extragalactic magnetic fields were done. Program CRPropa was used to execute simulations.
The morphology of human body in relation to selected behavioral and psycho-social aspects
Pivoňková, Věra ; Komárek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Hrebíčková, Martina (referee) ; Novotný, Vladimír (referee)
This doctoral thesis is devided into two parts. The first part focuses on introducing and analysing the literature summarising the results of the contemporary research on the relationship between human morphology, behavioural, psycho-social aspects and testosteron. The second part consists of the chapter the Historical Notes (published in the book Human Face), dealing with the relationship between the soul and the body in a broader historical context, and also five scientific articles.
Legal Regulation concerning Tax Obligations of Business Associations
Novotný, Vladimír ; Karfíková, Marie (advisor) ; Novotný, Petr (referee)
Association of entrepreneurs for performance of their collective activity on the basis of a Partnership Agreement, concluded according to Civil Code, is a relatively frequent phenomenon. This legal form, which does not give rise to a new legal entity, is used especially by entrepreneurs - individuals for their consistent gainful activity. Partnership members - partners - are subject to the private-law regulation contained in the Civil Code. A Partnership Agreement, which is one of the types of civil-law contractual relations, is suitable for association of parties intending to carry out a collective one-shot activity, for performance of a one-shot project. At the same time, partnership members conducting a business activity are also subject to public-law regulation, a. o. in term of taxes. The legal regulation of taxes is insufficient for the purpose of performance of permanent business activity in the form of a partnership - a lot of facts are not explicitly laid down, but have to be construed only, which means high legal uncertainty for the partnership members as taxpayers. The rigorosum thesis includes an analysis of the legal regulation applicable to the partnership members and, using the construction recorded in case law and on the basis of the legal opinions contained in professional...
Measurement of the energy spectrum of cosmic rays using Cherenkov-dominated data at the Pierre Auger Observatory
Novotný, Vladimír ; Nosek, Dalibor (advisor)
This thesis presents the energy spectrum of cosmic rays deduced from Cherenkov-dominated data measured by the fluorescence detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory. Cherenkov-dominated events, used in the energy spectrum analysis at the Observatory for the first time, enable to decrease the energy threshold for the spectrum measurement down to 1015.5 eV. This energy is more than one order of magnitude lower than in preceding studies. The fluorescence detector was originally designed to detect the fluorescence light generated by extensive air showers in a hybrid mode with the surface detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The reconstruction of events dom- inated by Cherenkov light is available due to a newly developed reconstruc- tion technique, the profile constrained geometry fit. Its implementation in the Pierre Auger Observatory software is documented. Aspects of the energy spectrum analysis are described. They consist of exposure calculations done with the use of extensive Monte Carlo simulations, unfolding of the detec- tor effects, and inferring the invisible energy correction in the energy region below 1017 eV. Systematic uncertainties of the measurement are estimated. 1

Response of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter
Poláček, Stanislav ; Davídek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Novotný, Vladimír (referee)
Sandwich hadronic Tile Calorimeter is part of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN laboratory near Geneva in Switzerland. The goal of this thesis is to examine the response of parts of the Tile Calorimeter to the beam of electrons accelerated to energy of 100 GeV and the dependance of the electron signal on the beam impact point. 1
