This report describes the work carried out in the second year of the public contract Geological and geotechnical characterisation of the rock environment – PVP Bukov II. The\ncharacterisation and descriptive works are directly related to the excavation of the premises for the future underground laboratory. These include in particular: geological and geotechnical documentation of the faces and walls of the workings, petrographic, mineralogical and structural geological documentation, hydrogeological characterisation of the environment, as well as determination of the physical and mechanical properties of the rock mass in situ and in the laboratory, geophysical characterisation and monitoring of the seismic effects of blasting and hydrogeological monitoring. An important part of this report is preparation of the classification system used to describe the rock mass. The report also includes a brief overview of the work planned for the third year of the project.

Mathematical model of groundwater flow affected by circulation wells
Nedvěd, Jakub ; Mls, Jiří (advisor) ; Ondovčin, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis, I focused on numerical modelling of groundwater flow in the vicinity of groundwater circulation well (GCW). The thesis can be devided to two parts. In the first one, I created a simple numerical model of GCW. I used a cylindrical flow domain because of the radial symmetry of the problem. The task was to find out which parameters have the biggest influence on groundwater flow. It was found that the hydrogeological settings and hydraulic properties have more considerable effect on GW flow than the well construction parameters. Distance between the well screens is the only important construction parameter, other parameters can be neglected. However, we cannot neglect the influence of hydraulic properties of the porous medium. Considering the radius of influence of GCW, the presence of aquitards and anisotropy of layers affect the groundwater flow around the well seriously. These two parameters cause the extension of the radius of influence, which leads to a longer path of the particle of water. The travel time of particles increases too this slows down the remediation. A big influence has also an intensity of natural groundwater flow in the area because it decreases the radius of influence of the well. In the second part I created a numerical model of pilot site Velká Hleďsebe to investigate...
Extraordinary remedies in the civil procedure
Nedvěd, Jakub ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Sedláček, Miroslav (referee)
Extraordinary remedies in the civil procedure Abstract This thesis deals with extraordinary remedies in the civil law system. First, the thesis provides a definition of each remedy system and a brief description of the main principles on which the remedy systems are built. Then, in chapters three to five, the thesis discusses the individual extraordinary remedies, with particular attention paid to the extraordinary appeal due to its privileged position among the remedies. The extraordinary appeal is followed by a discussion of the action for nullity and then the action for retrial. The positive legislation in Act No 99/1963 Coll., the Code of Civil Procedure, as amended, regulates the action for a declaration of annulment and the action for a retrial together in chapter four. Therefore, chapter five of this thesis deals in particular with the exceptions to the action for a retrial. Chapter six of this thesis aims to present the analogical institutes of extraordinary appeal in the German and Austrian legal systems, which is in particular the revision. In particular, the chapter discusses the conditions under which a given remedy is admissible and presents some specific institutes of the analogical legal systems. Chapter six concludes with a comparison of the frequency of pending appeal/review cases with the...

Compensation of postural dysbalances in blind cyclists
Nedvěd, Jonáš ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Knappová, Věra (referee)
Abstract title: Postural deviations and their compensations of blind cyclist Thesis objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a compensatory motional program for a visually impaired client. Compensatory motional program deals with the positive influence of defective body posture and pain alleviation of relevant muscular areas, particularly in the areas of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Method: The research method is qualitative examinations by usage of pretest and posttest designs. The thesis is conceived as the case report of a 31-year-old patient with acquired handicap. Exercise in fitness center was selected as part of compensatory motional program with the application of stretching, relaxing and work-out exercise. Additionally, hippotherapy was practiced to improve the stability of individual body areas, as well as to generally enhance the body posture. The testing methods for defective body postures by Jaroš and Lomíček, Matthiase; as well as testing method by Janda, were applied for the verification of program effect. The HHT motor test was applied for the verification of hippotherapy. Results: Compensatory motional program positively influenced the body posture of the clients already after three months of exercise. The integral part of hippotherapy was also the influence of...
The preparedness of the Czech Republic to adopt the single currency of the euro
Vybíralová, Veronika ; Nedvěd, Jan (referee) ; Bočková, Nina (advisor)
This master’s thesis evaluates whether at all and at what level the Czech republic and Sweden meet the Maastricht criteria, because this is a necessary condition for adopting the single currency euro. The theoretical part of this thesis will be focused at theoretical basis, which means the European Union and its history, monetary union and individual convergence criteria. Analysis of actual situation of meeting the Maastricht criteria and analysis of preparedness medium and large business to adopt the single currency of the euro will be realized in next part of this thesis.
Importance and occurrence of chromium in hydrogeology
Sadloň, Matúš ; Nedvěd, Jakub (advisor) ; Šantrůček, Jaromír (referee)
in English Chromium, particularly its two most stable oxidation states - hexavalent and trivalent chromium - plays a very significant role in the environment. While trivalent chromium is an essential nutrient both for humans and plants, hexavalent chromium proved to be one of the most dangerous contaminants negatively affecting people and the environment on a wide- ranging scale. This thesis aims to provide a complex overview of chromium occurrence in various natural systems, its physical and chemical properties as well as its mobility in the environment. Furthermore, the thesis will describe two case studies (from Greece and India), which illustrate both the natural and anthropogenic sources of hexavalent chromium contamination. Due to its mutagenic and carcinogenic properties, a complex set of remediation methods was suggested for hexavalent chromium removal, including both in-situ and ex-situ ones. Given their proven record in successful elimination of hexavalent chromium contamination from groundwater, in-situ methods are being utilised far more frequently nowadays; these will be explained more comprehensively. The most notable categories of in- situ remediation methods include biological and chemical reduction, chemical precipitation and chemical sorption. Besides these, other promising...
