Socio-economic analysis and development possibilities of Kladno district focused on mikroregion Údolí Lidického potoka

This bachelor thesis deals with micro-region Mikroregion údolí Lidického potoka and its development possibilities. The theoretical part summarizes issues of regionalization and position of micro-regions in the regional structure of the Czech Republic. The whole area of Kladno district is analyzed from the socio-economic perspective, which is a region including the above mentioned micro-region. The results of analysis are focused on the municipalities which is the micro-region consisted of. Subsequently, these results are applied to the SWOT analysis. Its output and as well a contribution of this thesis are particular measures and development projects recommended to the Mikroregion údolí Lidického potoka for implementation.

The impact of foreign direct investment on the economic level of Olomouc Region

The aim of this thesis is to find out the impact of foreign direct investment on the economic level of Olomouc Region. The impact is examined on the basis of the development of selected economic indicators. The first part of this thesis deals with the theoretical definition of selected economic indicators. These indicators include the traditional macroeconomic indicators and also those which describe the standard of living in Olomouc Region. Next the thesis describes the systematization of foreign direct investment and their theoretical definition. The second part of this thesis describes the examined region. Then an analysis of selected economic indicators and foreign direct investment is performed. The final chapter specifies the impact of foreign direct investment on the economic level of Olomouc Region.

Migration of health care workers

This bachelor thesis analyses issues of migration of medical staff members. The aim of this study is to identify the causes of migration and migration turnover in 2012. In theoretical part of this study is described general issues of migration and evolution of public health in Czech Republic after 1989. Further in the study is described remuneration of medical staff members. Practical part focuses on legislation related to this issue including all the necessary papers. This study shows as well potential number of migrants, its structure in 2012 and destinations. The study denies all thesis about shortage of medical staff members in Czech Republic and insufficient qualification of incoming medical staff members. Data for this study were collected from relevant literature and public statistics. This study is exceptional by its narrow concentration on 3 concrete professions and analyzed turnover were never systematically described by any institution in Czech Republic.

Foreign Direct Investment in Liberec region

This thesis deals with the issue of FDI in the territorial region - Liberec Region. The aim is to detect and identify the benefits and disadvantages of foreign investment in the region in terms of the three pillars of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental aspects). Thematically, the work is divided into two main parts: a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with general information about the region, systematizing foreign direct investment and the definition of the three pillars of sustainable development. The practical part analyzes the inflow of foreign direct investment in a particular region.

Issue of brownfields - case study of the former school in Heřmanice

The bachelor thesis deals with a brownfield site cases. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part provides different views on the definition of brownfields. The brownfield typology is also heterogeneous like the definition of the brownfield. The theoretical part is also focused on several approaches, which are able to solve the examined issue and funding options of the regeneration. The practical part is dedicated to description of brownfields in Moravskoslezský region which is the most affected area in Czech Republic. The central part of the practical part comes with a concrete solution to the complex of the former school in Heřmanice u Polomi in the Moravskoslezský region. The thesis works with the brownfield reconstruction of the rest home. The aim of this work is to define appropriate solution of brownfield project selected in Moravskoslezský region.

Brownfields - case study of the house factory Tkalcovna U Kroupů (Dolní Rokytnice)

This thesis deals with a brownfield site cases. First it brings specific reasons of brownfield sites, their consequences and possible solutions within the Czech Republic. Then the thesis suggests how to solve the problem of old loom-house factory Stará Tkalcovna U Kroupů in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, namely in Dolní Rokytnice. The effectiveness and positive impact of revitalization are proved by rating efficiency investment methods. These economic indicators give the evidences of suitable solution. The thesis refers to the importance of the brownfield site revitalization on the one hand, and problems with territory rehabilitation and the high cost of revitalization on the other hand.

Analysis of investment environment in Vysocina region

The thesis is focused on finding out an innovative potential in Vysočina region. Theoretical part is concerned with the theory of competitiveness and innovation. The other part of thesis deals with the development of foreign direct investments, their forms and location factors on which the investor decides. The end of theoretical part summarizes the theory of brownfields and industrial zones. Whole theory is completed with nationwide statistics from all those areas. In the practical part of the thesis are carried out the analyses that aimed to evaluate the investment potential of Vysočina region. It is an analysis of the region in terms of transport and technical infrastructure, educational and demographic structure and analysis of industrial zones, brownfields, innovations and foreign direct investments in the Vysočina region. Finally the SWOT analysis is completed and the investment opportunities of the Vysočina region are evaluated.
