The level of the adaptation process in general at intensive care units

The Graduation Thesis deals with the topic of the adaptation process of general nurses at intensive coronary care units. Through the research, we ask whether the level of the adaptation process and its duration is long enough to get nurses fully involved in the procedure. In the theoretical part, we work with the essence of the adaptation process. In particular, we analyse the nurse training process in the course of their adaptation in a new workplace. We look into issues related to the integration process management, from the view of the object and the subject as well. In addition, we pay attention to clinical practice tutors, their education and their roles - to teach, to convey and to assist. As regards the practical part of the Thesis, we have applied a quantitative research methodology. In the empirical part, we have set partial objectives and hypotheses to be confirmed or rejected through inquiry. The aim of the distribution of non-standardised questionnaires among new nurses in intensive coronary care units is to find out how their adaptation process is running, and to what degree they are satisfied with the adaptation process within the selected medical centres in Prague. The non-professional public perception of the nurse occupation

The work deals with the theme of perception of the nurse job by public. The objective of the work is to find out what awareness of the present work of nurse is with a view of contact of job of nurse, her personal experience and at the same time the experience of neighbourhood of the respondent and with the view of the personal feature of nurse. The objective is also to conduct a survey of factors having influence on opinion of public about job of nurse. In the theoretical part the attention is paid to the definition of the term nurse especially in the connection with its relation to nursing. The overview of the historical development of nurse from the beginning of Christianity until the first half of the 19th century is presented and furthermore it is presented the origin and development of the professional nursing including the situation in Czechia. A special attention is paid to the prestige of the nurse job including the influence of the public on its formation and also the role of the mass media at forming the public meaning is dealt with. This Bachelor's thesis on the Identification of Training needs for Nurses deals with the reasons and motives for further education of nurses. It discusses the history of nursing education both internationally and in the Czech Republic, international criteria for nursing qualifications, and nurses' views of the current educational system. The thesis analyzes educational needs and motivations for training, and touches on factors affecting learning. The conclusion is devoted to forms of lifelong learning. The empirical section examines reasons and motivations for continuing nursing education at present and also assesses nurses' opinions on this issue. College students and hazardous behavior in relation to addictive substances

The work deals with the relationship of a young man to drug addictions, what high school student is the term "addiction" and "drug", or coming into contact with drugs, and so as to be able to resolve the issue and how to cope with it. At first I was writing about risky behavior in different areas of life factors, and not least addictive drugs, and dividing their effects on the body. In the second part, I analyzed the questionnaire focused on the relationship young people to drug addictions and to compare students with medical and paramedical focus. The last part is devoted to various proposals for improving the prevention against drugs and the end of the dissertation.
Socio - economic impact on self nurses

This paper discusses the influence of the social and financial awards on the self-assessment of nurses. In the theoretical part I deal with explanation of terms as self-konception, self-respect, prestige and social status of the profession. Since the prestige of the profession influences besides other things historical development of professions, I have been also interested in the history of nursing. To be able to measure the economic effects of self-reflection of the nurses, I compared the amount of the financial evaluation of selected professional groups in the country. In the practical part I have found out nurses' opinion to view their financial assessment with regard to educational achievement and job description and their opinion on membership in a particular social group. I also wonder, as a general nurse assesses the media image of their profession and what is most troubling to him. I also tried to determine what is the most common motivation for general nurses to remain in their profession. Dignified dying and death

Bachelor thesis with name "Dignified dying and death" deals issue of dignified exit from life. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on mans dignity, dying, death, paliative care, hospice care and euthanasia. Purpose of this thesis is to find out differences in opinions on question about dying and death between students to 26 years old, employed persons to 65 years old and seniors above 70 years old. Between these groups I make quantitative research. I choose questionnaire method. I collected their attitude to dying and death, opinions on euthanasia, ideas about dignified exit from life and what is their knowledge about paliative care and euthanasia. Some results are surprising and alarming. My thesis should lead especially to thought above last days of man.

The subject of my bachelor thesis is Awereness of woman aged 20 to 40 years in the urinary incontinency arising in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part is devoted to the anatomy and physiology of the female urinary tract and urinary incontinence, its types, aids, treatment, prevention, education, and economic issues. I have been identifying , the level of awareness of women in urinary incontinence arising in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, in the empirical part. I have used quantitative research to achieve results. My research was conducted using questionnaires.

The Influence of Education Provided by Members of Anesthesiologist Team on Patient Before, and After Anesthesiology. Author: Šárka Švecová. The dissertation supervisor: Ms. Jana Novotná, Master of Science, ÚTPO, Universitas Carolina, Prague, 1st Medical Faculty 2012. The dissertation is focused on quality of anesthesia concerning information that is provided patient before and after general or local anesthesia. The theoretical part of the dissertation defines various terms used in anesthesiology, and describes general and local anesthesia together with their possible complications, technical support, and personnel requirements. It is also focused on form and used methods of education and explanation. An example of patient's education before and after anesthesia is described at the conclusion of the theoretical part. The research itself is concentrated on quality of provided information before and after anesthesia. The partial goals of the research were following: to find out how patients accept all the information, under what circumstances the actual education occurs, and what forms of education the members of anesthesiology team use. The outcomes of the research will be used to improve quality of informing patients in our hospital. A survey was used to find out answers to the questions above....
