This Bachelor Degree Thesis deals with the social benefits of participatory arts projects. Specifically, it focuses on projects working with socially excluded children and young people. The first part presents description of social exclusion and the role of art in education and training for young people. The second part deals with the benefits and impacts of such projects, their management and evaluation.

This thesis focuses on the socio-economical meaning of glassblowing in the geographical area of Nový Bor. It reflects its historical development plus its possible future forms. On the basis of collected informations, thesis analyzes socio-economical ideological importance of the glassblowing institutions in the particular area.

This bachelor's thesis deals with an emerging project Meetfactory. It is a multi-functional culture centre which besides other cultural services also offers a residential atelier programme for foreign artists. Conceiver of the whole project is a controversial Czech artist David Černý. In a theoretical part of the paper I deal with problems of non-profit organizations in culture and the topic of brownfields. In the practical part I described the project from its complicated history, field of activity to a financial aspect following the findings from the theoretical part. This thesis serves as a comprehensive view on this unique project.
groups in the folk and country music area, their professional or economical growth

The thesis deals with the present situation of groups in the folk and country music area, describes the pluses and minuses of amateur bands running and the opportunities of their professional or economical growth. The work arises from the common public materials and data or the personal interview of the bands members and the organizers of particular actions. The analysis of the folk festivals and their financing was completed on the basis of statictics. The practical part is based on the experience of the "Berušky" band from Jablonec nad Nisou city. The band has been running in the folk and country genre for twelve years and it brought out its first authorial CD.
The traditional folk culture as a meaning of revenue for the tourist industry

The aim of my thesis is looking at the traditional folk culture and finding its economic potential for tourism. I would like to show there is some interconnection between traditional folk culture and tourism. My work is focused on open air museums. I chose the Wallachian Open-air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm as a representative of succesful cultural organisation. I would like to discover which factors are behind the success of the organisation and to find assets which brings to the tourism of the region of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. I will use every accessible resources.
Cooperation of non-profit cultural institutions

In my paper I discuss the issue of cooperation between two cultural institutions in the peripheral part of Prague, namely the Chodovská Tvrz Cultural House and Cultural Center Zahrada. The first section is theoretical, and it is devoted to the non-profit sector from the national economy perspective. Subsequently, different types of non-profit organizations are defined. The theoretical section is concluded with a general description of the City of Prague 11 and its culture. The practical part of this paper is initially focused on the characterization of the aforementioned organizations. Next I discuss the activities and cooperation between these two cultural institutions which were merged to a non-profit organization in 2007.
Regional culture of Tábor, its expressions and their place in tourism

Bachelor thesis deals with the regional culture and its connection with tourism in the town Tábor and its surroundings. Its objective is to evaluate the use of a cultural potential of the region through tourism products. Hussite tradition is Tábor's cultural potential and it is currently reflected especially in two major tourism products of Tábor. These are the historic festival called Tabor meetings and the Hussite days, which are characterized in the work.
Fundraising of non-profit cultural project

The bachelor thesis deals with fundraising of non-profit cultural project. The theoretical part defines a notion nonprofit sector and fundraising and describes principles and methods of fundraising as well as potential financial sources. The practical part is devoted to a promotion and a fundraising of Charitable auction, a project of Máme otevřeno?, o. s. At the end there is a comparison of "favored" prices paid by a non-profit organization while promoting a charitable auction and the real prices paid by a business sector.
Cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure of Hořice

The main focus of this bachelor thesis is on the town of Hořice v Podkrkonoší and its cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure. Bachelor thesis has two main parts. The first part deals with sense of idea local culture, cultural heritage, cultural potential and cultural infrastructure. The following part is engaged in changes of cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure after year 1989. Second part is practical and analyses cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure from side finance, management, marketing. Additionally, the next part introduces an elaborated and processed questionnaire survey, made in Hořice in the year 2010. Based on the analyses and questionnaire, the last part deals with potential resolutions, which can improve situation of cultural infrastructure and cultural heritage in Hořice v Podkrkonoší.
Vietnamese etnic in Czech society

A thesis is focusing on history of vietnamese immigration to Czech Republic, also on culture specifics and life conditions of vietnamese comunity in Czech Republic. Special attention is dedicated to the new vietnamese young generation, born after year 1989. A body of my work is considering the basic culture differences between those two nationalities and how the majority perceive the vietnamese comunity.
