Business plan for establishing a fitness centre

In the bachelor thesis I dealt with a business plan for establishing a fitness centre in Prague. In the first part of the thesis I processed theoretical and methodological bases for elaborating a business plan. The next part is the practical part of this thesis which describes the processing of a business plan for a new small-sized enterprise Herkules (limited company. The business plan was created in order to be as realistic and usable in practice as possible.

Establishment of control and management mechanisms in the enterprise

The doctor's dissertation paper brings new views on the managing and control mechanisms in the organization and the ways of their adjustment. Even though the researched field is a relatively young scientific discipline, the issues of management and administration organization, or Corporate Governance, was, is and will be topical for every company, irrespective of the specialization, the location or the range where the business operates. The presented dissertation thesis focuses on the different models of Corporate Governance and internal audit in the world, however, the Anglo-American, the Western European and the Japanese models are identified as the main models. The main features and substances of each of the models, along with the advantages and disadvantages of the use under specific conditions are indentified in the theoretical part of the dissertation. The other issue questioned in the dissertation is the current state of the scientific knowledge in the field of Corporate Governance and internal audit. From the selected monographs and work of Czech and foreign authors, the knowledge that most describes the problems of the existing mechanisms of corporate governance has been used. The historical method has been used in this part of the dissertation paper - the development of Internal Audit and Corporate Governance from the very beginning until today. The dissertation examines the internal audit in terms of various topics of this discipline in practice - risk management, compliance and fraud audit. The paper answers questions such as: in which interactions must be these fields of audit, and to what extent they are connected with the management of the company, especially what responsibility and competence they have. As an example of the setting of the management and control mechanisms in the company, the dissertation paper mentions a financial organization operating in the Czech Republic as an small-scale electronic money issuer. Because this is a company ready for expansion, the hierarchical arrangement of individual organizational cells must ensure the proper functioning of the company and a close relatios between key departments and employees. Banking and financial services are among the most risky areas of business in terms of control and compliance, therefore this company is a very good example.

Financial analysis of CSC Computer Sciences corporation

The goal of this bachelor thesis is the analysis and evaluation of an economic situation of american company CSC Computer Sciences s.r.o, which is occupied with outsourcing of their IT services. The company expanded the field of activity in the last couple of years in Czech republic thanks to favourable economic conditions. Standard methods of financial analysis are used in this thesis, among them being horizontal and vertical analysis, balance sheet rules, indicators of rentability, liquidity, activity and indebtedness, working capital analysis, Economic Value Added indicator and Du Pont's analysis. Subsequently Altman's model of Z-score and IN05 index of husband and wife Neumaier's is used to determine the prosperity or bankrupcy states. Established values are then compared to the industry in which the company falls into. The methods are described in the theoretical part and then applied in the practical part based on the information established from the annual reports of the company.

Investments in Belarus

This thesis is dedicated to a very interesting topic - it is an investment activity. Investments are the basis of economic development and growth of living standards. Foreign investments are therefore a source for further economic growth. The author of this work focused on exploring investment in the country where she was born, it is Belarus. About the investment in that territory is not talked much, which could be caused by the local political situation. But Belarus is quite popular between Russian investors. The work is divided into several parts. The first part is theoretical and methodological, describes the general knowledge and concepts related to investment. In the practical part, the author describes the investment rules in Belarus and gives quite detailed information about the investment climate in the country. The thesis ends with an indication of practical recommendations for investment in Belarus.

Pricing of Vodafone a.s.

Main task of my Master's thesis is to figure out the value of business entity using well known methods of pricing of the company. I've choosed to specify the value of the Czech company Vodafone a.s., which is member of the Vodafone group. This valuation is prepared for the case that the company would be sold in January 2012 to the potentional investor. There are two ways of figuring out the weighted average costs of capital that are used in my thesis. There is also discussion about using the country risk premium when specifying the costs of capital using CAPM model. After macroeconomic analysis, field analysis, and financial analysis, there is made a financial plan. There are used discounted methods of valuing the company such as Free cash flow to the firm (DCF FCFF), Economic value added (DCF EVA) and also Accounting method.

Adaptation of Marketing Strategy of the Callan School in the Czech Republic.

This thesis deals with the characteristics of teaching method of the Callan School and the possibility of its adaptation in the Czech Republic. The research work is carried out using standardized research methods: PEST analysis of the environment in the Czech Republic in relation to organizing language courses; research of mentality of inhabitants of the Czech Republic and their relationship to education and teaching of foreign languages; SWOT analysis and description of the Callan and the other methods. The main contribution of the thesis is to evaluate the possibility of adaptation of new methods in the Czech Republic with regard to local customs and possibilities of population. The thesis also contains description and philosophy of the Callan method for familiarizing readers with its essential features.

The aim of this diploma work is the determination of the value Metrostav a.s. to date 1. October 2009 by using discounted cash flows. The Value of this company it might serve the owners if they want to sell shares of unspecified buyer. Diploma work is divided to the next parts: strategic analysis, financial analysis,financial plan and the value determination of the company Metrostav. Based on the research of each of the above analysis I have concluded that the firm has a yield potential is attractive and the resulting value is greater than the balance total assets to the date of valuation.

Finanční analýza podniku Modus spol. s r.o.

The aim of this thesis is to undertake a financial analysis of MODUS Ltd. during the years of 2004 -- 2009 with focusing on evaluation of past and current financial condition and performance of the company. Another goal is to evaluate the stability of the company and its ability to generate the desired economic value. The financial analysis will carry through the analysis of absolute indicators, balance rules, analysis of financial and ratio indicators. I will also apply financial distress prediction models and economic value added decomposition model. In the conclusion I will try to give an accurate comment on the results of analysis. Valorize the current financial situation of MODUS Ltd. and formulate my recommendations for the management.

Business Plan

This thesis focuses on the preparation of a complete business plan for a start-up company in the area of distribution of organic apple juices and syrups. It is based on previous experience in the distribution of these products in Brno which is used when entering the Prague market.
