Biotribology of articular cartilage
Furmann, Denis ; Látal, Roman (referee) ; Nečas, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with biotribology of articular cartilage. The first part deals with the analysis of individual building components of cartilage. Another part is devoted to the definition of the tribological properties of cartilage with regard to friction, wear and lubrication. The thesis also briefly analyses selected publications dealing with articular cartilage biotribology. Two hypotheses have been formulated and verified on the basis of the processed articles. Will the friction coefficient fall at a higher load? Will the friction coefficient increase at higher speed? It has been experimentally confirmed that the friction coefficient value increases with increasing speed and decreasing load.
Design of assist robot
Novotný, Ondřej ; Látal, Roman (referee) ; Kučera, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis is design of frame and lifting mechanism of assist robot called „Bob“. The thesis consist of several construction design of mechanism and gears, final solution control and creating of prototype. For the materiál of frame construction was chosen the aluminium because of its hardness and weight. The chassis of robot is 3-wheeled construction unable passing through threshold. The motor for robot drive was chosen DC motor with 500 rpm and torque 600 Nmm, which is placed inside of front wheels. For the lifting mechanism was chosen the motion screw with trapezoidal screw-thread Tr 10x3 made by DIN 103 from C15 steel. Another part of the thesis was create of the prototype for testing whole mechanisms and gears.
Lubricant film formation in oil impregnated sintered metal parts
Látal, Roman ; Polach, Pavel (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the experimental study of the formation of the lubricating film used for sintered metal parts impregnated with oil. The thickness of the lubricating film in a line contact is measured by the method of optical interferometry of thin lubricating films. In this thesis, the effects of various operating parameters on the formation of the lubricating film are described. The usage of impregnated lubricant leads to insufficient supply of lubricant to the contact. Individual results are significantly influenced by the degree of flooding of the contact area.
Design of hillside elevator
Látal, Roman ; Smejkal, David (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is covering a topic of construction of slope elevator with a tilt of 25 degrees for four people with total capacity of 400 kilograms. The construction is divided into two bachelor´s theses and this thesis is focused to the design of cabin construction. This thesis contains constructional design of the cabin and its technical drawings.
