Testing of Blood Oxygenation for Pilots
Kvasnička, Pavel ; Smolík, Luděk (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This work investigates the measurement of blood oxygenation for pilots, which is based on noninvasively method of pulse oxymetry. This method is based on the selective light absorption in the spectrum of infrared and red light by oxyhemoglobin and reduced hemoglobin. For measurement is crucial a pulse component of arterial blood, in which is measured concentration of hemoglobin to total amount of hemoglobin.
Business Plan: A Fitness Center for a Public High School
Kos, Lukáš ; Kvasnička, Pavel (referee) ; Šopíková, Jana (advisor)
The principal objective of the bachelor thesis is to create a business plan of a fitness center for a particular public high school. Processing the subject I took into acount the lack of physical activity in high school students. Further objective of this work is to propose a solution to eliminate the lack of physical aktivity and to contribute to improvement of both, the health of the high school students, but also to improve their healthy lifestyle.
System for Remote Monitoring of Electrical Values
Kvasnička, Pavel ; Kněžík, Jan (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement of electrical quantities, distribution of data across the Ethernet network into the Internet and intelligent selection of the required values to be transmitted and stored on a central node. The work describes the communication protocols in scale that is necessary for implementation, discussed the requirements for computational resources and microcontroller control is proposed by flowcharts. Attached are source codes in C programming language for microcontroller and PHP scripts for storing and presenting data on Web server.
Surface plasmons on nanostructures
Kvasnička, Pavel
Title: Surface plasmons on nanostructures Author: Pavel Kvasnička Department: Department of Optics and Optoelectronics Supervisor: Jiří Homola, PhD, Institute of Photonics and Electronics, Chaberská 57, 182 57 Prague 8 Supervisor's e-mail address: homola@ufe.cz Abstract: An introduction to the field of (bio)sensors based on localized surface plasmons (LSP) on metallic nanoparticles is given. Description of theoretical ap- proaches to modeling of localized surface plasmons on nanoparticles and nanostruc- tures is given. These techniques are used to study the process of optical excitation of localized surface plasmons on individual metallic nanoparticles and to detemine main performance characteristics of LSP-based sensors. Experimental study of LSP on spherical nanoparticles is reported. It is demonstrated that metallic nanoparticles supporting LSP can be used to detect changes in the refractive index or molecular binding events. Keywords: surface plasmon, nanoparticles, surface plasmon resonance sensors
