Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice in three Czech translations

This is a theoretical and empirical work. It principally encompasses an analysis, description and comparison ofthree translations of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice, by František Noska (1946), Božena Šimková (1949) and Eva Kondrysová (1967). The introduction briefly sets out the reasons for the selection of the theme and outlines the goal of the work. The work also concentrates on the circumstances surrounding the emergence of Pride and Prejudice and the reception given to Jane Austen' s novel. Particular attention is paid to the periodical context and the related changing critical responses to, and views on, the value of Jane Austen's literary work in an Anglo-Saxon and Czech environment. The work inter alia strives to identity how the Czech reception differs from the Anglo-Saxon one, and what features are specific to the Czech reception. Jane Austen' s work i s pro ven to ha ve attracted incomparably less attention in the Czech cultural sphere than in the Anglo-Saxon milieu, primarily for cultural and political reasons. State Social Politics in the Context of the Social Politics of the Roman Catholic Church

Social politics - strong-willed state's, municipalites' and another subjects' activity which goal is improving the living conditions of people, implementation of human rights and development of each person. Social state - which is responsible for social and economic processes. Regarding strict liberal conception, those processes should be kept solely in competency of civil society and its market mechanism. This conception guarantees some social security for each member of the society, the active role of the state in providing social rights. Social security - the Czech legal order contains: health insurance, pension security, pension insurance, social care. State's welfare - represents a system of social benefits, where the state shares the costs of sustenance and the other basic children's and family's exigencies, this system is addressed, which means that some benefits depend on the income of the family. Encyclical - pope circular note addressed usually to the bishops, which contains consequential questions of faith and morality. It defines the social politics of the Church as well.

Suggestions for an Introduction Songs in the Kindergarten

My bachelor thesis is dedicated to rehearsal of songs in kindergarten. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part describes the role of singing in human life. This part is focused on musical skills and more specifically on singing activities which are suitable for kids in kindergartens. Finally, it includes a list of music publications which can be used for preschool children. The practical part presents the results of observation while rehearsing songs. I focused on the effectiveness of the chosen type of learning, on children´s interest and their reactions on a particular learning method. All of these methods have been described in details and the children´s reactions have also been noted down. In the annexes you can find music scores of ten songs which I tried to teach in kindergarten.

Current trends of urbanization of Mexico City as an example

The aim of this thesis is to identify current trends of urbanization of Mexico City as an example, which is one of the most urbanized cities in the world. This paper examines the impacts of urbanization in terms of increasing social and health problems of people in Mexican capital. The theoretical part describes main concepts, current trends of urbanization in developing and developed countries, and its positive and negative impacts. The practical part is focused on a very characteristic of urbanization in Mexico City, on negative impacts which arise, and on measures that the city uses in order to reduce them. The methods that has been used on this topic were literature review, data analysis, comparison and observation. To process the data, official statistics were also used.

Historical and geographical aspets of population developmnet in Veselí nad Moravou

The aim of this work is based on detailed analysis of long-term population developmnet of Veselí nad Moravou illustrate the roots of its present condition, size and position in the settlement system of the Czech republic and the Southern Region. The organization of settlement system in the Czech republic has its roots especially in the industrial period ? the 19th and 20th century. During this period each settlement has undergone a development which has been influenced by many aspects (economic, political, social, cultural or natural. The core work is the development of mapping population size in Veselí nad Moravou, the generalization of long-term trends and tendencies of development, finding the key determinants and causes of the current situation.
