This thesis focuses on the proces of adoption of western food elements into the japanese food system. The first part contains a brief overview of food history in Japan. The next part is about the introduction of various ingredients, which is followed by a description of social classes and their role in spreading and consolidating these ingredients and their cooking techniques in the life of common people.
Transformation of Japan Self-Defence Forces (jietai) on the threshold of 21st century

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the proces of the creation and gradual transformation of japanese self-defense forces until the treshold of 21th century. Using few selected international relations theories and historical background, it explains the development of these forces, their growth and the issue concerning the existence, legitimity, geopolitical support and constitutionality. In the final part I am describing the public opinion influenced by the gradual changes of these forces. The result is a compact perspective, 60 years of existence of Japanese Self-Defence Forces, focused on their gradal change in time.

Výzva implementace TPS v České republice: studie v mezikulturním managementu

This master's thesis analyzes the possibilities of implementation of Toyota Production System within Japanese subsidiaries in Czech Republic. It explores the fit between the cultural values of Czech and Japanese management and the values incorporated in the Toyota Production System. In order to conduct the study, 79 companies were contacted, and survey responses from a total of 108 Czech and Japanese employees were collected. Data from the survey show that both Czech and Japanese employees have similar values related to work and neither job satisfaction nor number of conflicts is connected with TPS training. In the conclusion, areas for further research and more detailed elaboration are identified and presented.
Business plan for a Japanese restaurant

The goal of this thesis is to create a business plan for a Japanese restaurant in the centre of Prague. Theoretical part of this thesis focuses the entrepreneurship activity itself and describes the structure of a business plan. The following practical part mainly analyses the macro and microenvironment of the restaurant, other competing restaurants, marketing strategy and further describes the restaurant. Considerable part of the thesis is dedicated to the analysis of current trends at the gastronomic market. The final part describes the financial analysis of the restaurant for the first 3 years and analysis of the accounting statements.
