Activation methods and organisational forms at a primary school

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how teachers of the 1st stage of elementary schools use different types of methods, especially activation methods, to support pupils in motivation to learn and how they activate them in their learning performances. The theoretical part in the first chapter focuses on the issue of activation methods and organizational forms in terms of defining the concept, objectives, the main reasons for their implementation and classification of these methods. The second chapter characterizes the pupil at a younger school age, his needs and interests, which the teacher tries to fulfill purposefully through teaching methods. It also discusses the relationship between motivation and performance leading to the fulfillment of learning objectives. The last chapter focuses on the teacher's work with activation methods in the classroom, individual problems that may affect the use of teaching methods in the teaching process and factors that affect the motivation of students during lessons. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, I used qualitative research to find out how the teachers of the 2nd and 3rd grades of a selected Prague primary school use various teaching methods to activate pupils and so motivate them to perform.
