The thesis especially focuses on the problem of opiates and their effects on drug users in the region of Kroměříž. The results were obtained due to anonymous questionnaires of the clients. I did the research with the clients of Contact Centre Plus in Kroměříž. Besides C - Centre Plus in Kroměříž I also focused on Psychiatric Sanatorium in Kroměříž at the same time. Unfortunately, there was no client who would be addicted to an opiate at that time. Thirty-nine clients from the C-Centre participated in this research.
