The care of the airways in the patients hospitalized at the unit care in view of patients

Introduction:The management of patients with a tracheostomy tube is still current. It brings stress situation not only for the patients but also staff who care for them. This issue occurs across all disciplines. The aim of this study was to determine how they feel patients at the care of the tracheotomy while hospitalization of the intensive care unit. Methodology: The research was carried out during 2015 and 2016 at the surgical intensive care unit. The group of respondents consisted of patients with established tracheostomy tube. 80 pieces were distributed questionnaires, 73 patients responded return reached 91.25%. Results: The investigation showed that the comprehensive care of a tracheostomy for patients burdensome and unpleasant. Everyone clearly stated as the most annoying and most exhausting bother them forced to cough. 90,41% of patients reported that their aspiration meets at regular intervals to be able to prepare this fact. All of the respondents perform respiratory physiotherapy and 67.12% felt that they benefit. 95.89% of respondents suffer from a sense of social isolation. 82.19% would welcome the presence of a psychologist at the ICU. Group 80.82% think that it is adequately cared about their tracheostomy during hospitalization and all have the possibility of alternative communication.

Education of nurses in intensive care

For my diploma thesis I chose the topic of education of nurses in intensive care. In the field of nursing education, it was necessary to respond to new trends in the European Union. In recent years, the situation in the field of education has changed in many ways. Act No. 201/2017 Coll. it has brought a novelty that the credit system of education has been abolished and it is therefore possible to conclude that the motivation of nurses to education may have fallen. The theoretical part describes the history of intensive care in the world and in the Czech Republic. Mentioned is the history of nursing education in intensive care and the history of nursing education in the Czech Republic. The next chapter points to the current situation of intensive care, the requirements for qualification education of a nurse and the competence of a nurse specialist. The possibilities of intensive care education, including lifelong learning, are being announced. An integral part is the motivation chapter. The main aim of my thesis was to find out the motivation of nurses to specialize in intensive care. Subsequently, I then mapped the nurses' motivation to continue their education in lifelong learning. Introduction of problems: At present, nursing education is being given increasing attention. This is done by the management of the health service itself, by the teachers, by the nurses themselves, but also by the sick. There is still a burning shortage of nurses in all disciplines and hospitals. The current healthcare situation is slowly coping with changes in education, and only time will show whether changes have been set in the right direction and will help to infiltrate qualified staff into hospitals Goals: The main goal of my diploma thesis was to find out the motivation of nurses for specialization study in intensive care at work. The partial goal number one was to find out if nurses are educated in lifelong learning. Sub-goal number two was to map what nurses are currently the most burdened in their intensive care work. Methodology: A quantitative survey was carried out using custom-built questionnaires that were conducted in the intensive care nursing population Results: The results of the survey showed that the main reason nurses for intensive care intensive care were the fact that they needed money to study, wanted more time for their interests and paid leave before the exams.
