Technical and Economic Aspects of the Thermal Insulation of Buildings
Kocová, Dana ; Kopecká, Lenka (advisor) ; Kic, Pavel (referee)
The thesis intends to create a basis for deciding the efficiency of implementation of saving measures meaning thermal insulation of buildings and for defining their benefits. This study is made on two typical objects demonstrates a development of requirements for thermal properties of the building construction and evaluates a possibility and suitability of using of different insulation methods. It proposes acts to meet current thermal engineering requirements. Performing the calculation of unit prices are counted implementation costs and return of investments for additional measures. The thesis gives investors a source material for their investment plan for buildings thermal rehabilitation and assesses the benefits.
New methods of the thermal insulation of older buildings
Žoha, Marek ; Kic, Pavel (advisor) ; Přikryl, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the problems of insulating older buildings. The goal of this work is to evaluate the conditions of interior environement of stables for breeding hens and to propose an improvement of its thermal properties. The first chapter describes findings from literature about individual methods of insulating buildings. The second chapter describes the basic methodology and the principle of used measurements of the technical properties of the stable for breeding hens. In the third chapter there are evaluations of the measurements and necessary calculations for the improvement of thermal properties of the building. The last chapter lists the economic evaluation of the proposed insulation method of the building in respect to the egg production and feed consumption.
The use of solar collectors in the Czech Republic
Kočka, Jan ; Kic, Pavel (advisor) ; Vaculík, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to approach the market of solar systems in the Czech Republic and the subsequent design of the solar system in the selected object, in this case RD Divišov. In the chapter Overview of the findings from the literature there are outlined the general knowledge about the Sun and the use of solar radiation. In addition, this chapter provides a general overview of solar collectors followed by the approach of the necessary elements for the functioning of the solar systems. In the chapter Default conditions of the solved object there is characterized the selected one, and there is described the current system in this object. Chapter The design of the solar system in a given object includes the proposal of individual elements of the solar set for water heating. There are compared variants with different demands, different input parameters on the basis of values and graphs chosen the most efficient option for this project. At the end, the economic evaluation of the proposed system with the subsequent comparison with the current system and possible return. The work is ended by summarizing of the whole issue.
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning of the trams
Meluš, Ladislav ; Kic, Pavel (advisor) ; Zewdie, Retta (referee)
The thesis deals with the concepts of trams which are used for public transport in Prague and especially about solution of the ventilation system, heating and air conditioning. Here are described the most used principles of ventilation in the cab and in the passenger saloon. In the individual chapters, there are materials for design of air condition consequent from the standards and recommendations of the producers themselves. Air conditioning unit HVAC (Heating, ventilating and air conditioning) for the saloon passengers, including trams 15T cooling circuit is designed from these data. The unit is designed to fallen power required compared to the present. This is possible by the reversibility of the cooling circulation, which operates as a heat pump in the winter. In conclusion of thesis is stated measurements on existing air conditioning 15T. Measurements should verify that the unit has the necessary cooling performance. Design of HVAC unit and measurements are universal for any modern low-floor tram.
Modern methods of the thermal insulation of buildings
Koukl, Lukáš ; Kic, Pavel (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
The thesis deals with the evaluation of thermal properties of buildings and their possible improvement. The work includes a summary of the different types of materials used in construction and insulation to minimize heat losses through transmission. Work involves the calculation of heat loss of the house, alternative solutions to improve its thermal properties and compared concept solutions with modern construction. At the end of the work.is peformed comparison of the existing building with the proposed alternatives for improvement.
Clean room in a microbiological laboratory
Dundr, Ondřej ; Kic, Pavel (advisor) ; Růžek, Lubomír (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the air-conditioning and ventilation system in special circumstances of clean operations of a microbiological laboratory in connection with technological equipment and operational procedures of such environment. The chapter Equipment and Operational Conditions in Microbiological Laboratory states the requirements of clean room and its principal equipment. As an example, a specific microbiological laboratory is provided. The chapter Air-conditioning and Ventilation Systems for Clean Operations provides a description of principal elements of a ventilation system based on specific solution of microbiological laboratory. The chapter Calculation of Ventilation Elements provides calculations of elements of air-conditioning unit with regards to standing microbiological laboratory equipment. The chapter Measuring the Parameters of Clean Room deals with measurement methodology and also provides measurement data of a specific clean room. The chapter Operational Costs of Ventilation System of a Clean Room states the yearly operational costs of a specific microbiological laboratory. The chapter Operational Procedures for Safeguarding the Required Parameters deals with operations and maintenance of clean room and its ventilation and air-conditioning system.
