Patient's satisfaction with the treatment of acute postoperative pain
Leibnerová, Jarmila ; Schneiderová, Michaela (advisor) ; Dostálková, Šárka (referee) ; Kaška, Milan (referee)
Anotation The bachelor thesis deals with questions of acute postoperative pain. The theoretical part focuses on the basic knowledge about acute pain. More details are processed about the post- operative pain and its treatment. The empirical part of this work contains results of a questionary survey taking place on standard wards of Nachod's hospital operational brunches. The investigation concerned in the intensity of pain after surgery, influencing factors, the monitoring of postoperative pain by medical staff and patients' satisfaction with the pain treatment. The thesis should contribute to the improvement of pain management and thus improve patients' satisfaction with the hospital care. 89
Various Surgical Techniques of Lesional vas Deferens Repair in Rat Experiments
Štichhauer, Radek ; Kaška, Milan (advisor) ; Rygl, Michal (referee) ; Plánka, Ladislav (referee)
Various surgical techniques for the repair of injured vas deferens in rat experiment Introduction: The herniotomy for inguinal hernia is one of the most frequent surgical procedures in paediatric surgery. The incidence of complication following primary inguinal herniotomy in neonates is not rare and repair of the injured vas deferens (VD) is not standardized. The aim of this experimental study was to assess the contusion of VD during the surgery with a surgical instrument and to perform and consequently analyze some possibilities of a simple repair method under the control of operating loupe. Methods: Seventy male rats were divided into seven subgroups according to the type of the vas deferens injury and its repair consequently: 1. Contusion, 2. cut-off and a simple one layer vasovasostomy sewn by absorbable sewing material, 3. cut-off and joining by an intraluminally lead fibre of absorbable sewing material knotted externally, 4. = 3. using non- absorbable sewing material, 5. = 2. combine with intraluminally situated absorbable sewing fibre fixed externally,6. = 5. combine with intraluminally situated non-absorbable sewing fibre fixed externally, 7. = 5. without external fixation. Fibres of non-absorbable sewing material were removed 3 weeks after the first operation. Operated or injured parts of...

Cholestatic Liver Disease in a Rat Model and the Possibilities for its Control
Kohoutek, Lukáš ; Kaška, Milan (advisor) ; Gürlich, Robert (referee) ; Vokurka, Jan (referee)
Cholestatic liver disease in a rat model and the possibilities for its control Cholestatic liver disease is accompanied with oxidave stress. That it the reason why decreases antioxidative capacity of liver and increases leaky gut. It causes endotoxemia and expansion of production of cytokines and then forming multiorgan failure. Statins can be the way to protect liver cause of their anti-inflammatory efects. Aims: Aims of this study was to verify effect of statines. The questions are if the statin can be medicament which could prevent to increase of liver disease. The reason of this it will be in the oxidative and inflammatory damage, and if may depent on the time of filling statines and dose of statine. Methods: We have defined four groups of rats. We compared between the rats with laparotomy and with or without ligation of choledochus and with taking fluvastatin or not. We rated the tissue of liver and blood sample, or serum. We rated the degree of demage of liver tissue, the degree of cholestasis and proteosyntetic function of the liver. The rating of effects of fluvastatin depends on quantity of the dose (1 and 5 mg/kg of body weight) and the time of dosing of fluvastatin (1 and 2 weeks). Next scale in the studying of processing in cholestatic liver tissues is studium of mechanism of effects...

(Anesthesia techniques and organ microcirculation) There is an increasing evidence about microcirculatory effects of different intravenous anesthetics both under physiological and specific pathological conditions. This study aimed to investigate the effects of intravenous anesthetics on hepatosplanchnic microcirculation in laparotomized mechanically ventilated rats using Sidestream Dark-field (SDF) imaging. Thirty male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups (n = 6 each). All rats were initially anesthetized with 60mg/kg pentobarbital (i.p.) for instrumentation. This was followed by either ketamine, propofol, thiopental, midazolam or saline + fentanyl (iv bolus over 5 min. and then maintenance over 90 min.). SDF imaging of the liver and distal ileum microcirculation was performed at the baseline and at t = 5, 35, 65 and 95 min. In propofol group there was increase of functional sinusoidal density (FSD) following induction (+25%, P<0.05) and maintenance at t = 95 min. (+10.3%, P<0.05), in ketamine and midazolam group decrease of FSD was observed after induction (-20.4%, P<0.05; -10.1%, P<0.05) and during maintenance at t = 65 min. (-11.6%, P<0.05; -11.4%, P<0.05) when compared to baseline. Following induction with propofol functional capillary density (FCD) of ileal longitudinal muscle layer increased...

Quality of Nursing Care after the Surgical Creation of AV Shunt
Hylenová, Monika ; Schneiderová, Michaela (advisor) ; Dostálková, Šárka (referee) ; Kaška, Milan (referee)
The topic of this bachelor lever quality nursing care for patients, who were based AV shunt surgically. The theoretical part of the work deals with the causes that lead to the sewing AV shunt, describes the types and location of AV shunt. It warns to specific preoperative preparation and postoperative care. Also explains the impact AV shunt for each area of life. The empirical part is based on quantitative research was conducted through an anonymous questionnaire in patients with AV shunt. It identifies the basic information about these patients, their perception of the quality of nursing care after establishing the AV shunt surgery, and what skills are on this issue.
