Communication between control units in the automotive industry

The topic of this bachelor thesis is communication between control units of door systems in public transport. Firstly, the regulations that a communication system must comply with are described to be used in public transport. Furthermore, systems for communication via optical fiber, metallic lines and wirelessly using Bluetooth Low Energy are designed. The technologies used are theoretically described and the designed systems are implemented using the development board Lolin 32 ESP-WROOM-32 and Arduino Uno. The systems are designed to capture inputs from a driver or passengers that are then shown on a display. The created transmission systems are described in more detail in the thesis.

Export support for MEGA Company on the market of the Republic of South Africa

The topic of this master thesis is Export support for MEGA Company on the market of the Republic of South Africa. The first part outlines possible forms of expansion to the foreign market and then State support of export. In the second part there is characterized and analyzed the business situation of MEGA Company, or rather Offer, based on an interview with a Company representative. The third part deals with the analysis of the South African market in terms of significant information for exporters, or rather Demand. In this part there was also carried out an interview with a representative of CzechTrade, which outlined the current macroeconomic situation in the Republic of South Africa and the name of a successful Czech company doing business on this market. Based on own survey, there was also carried out a questionnaire survey with representatives of Czech successful companies doing business on the South African market. The output of this master thesis is the proposal of expansion to the market of the Republic of South Africa in regards of State support of export, Company's offer, market demand, own experience of other companies and current situation on the market of expansion.

Global financial crisis from the point of view of economic theories

Since 2008 the business world, politics, economy and public has been affected by the financial crisis. A financial crisis is generally defined as a broad range of disturbances that affect real economy (negative impacts on employment, production, purchasing power, insolvency and many others). The aim of the thesis is an analysis of approaches to explanation of the global financial crisis in terms of selected economic theories. The hypothesis (there is a state of knowledge that the global crisis could be predicted) is confirmed in this thesis. At the same time, proposals for predicting financial crises are elaborated. For the comparison a multi-criteria decision method is used. As the input criteria the individual causes of the financial crises that are defined in the first part of the thesis are chosen. The criteria are used to evaluate selected variants; the variants represent the real causes of the global financial crisis of 2008.

The Current Position of Iceland on the Global Market

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe the current situation of the icelandic economy and the current position of Iceland on the global market. The bachelor thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first part of the thesis is focused on basic characteristics of Iceland, basic macroeconomic indicators and important economic sectors of Iceland. There is also mentioned the icelandic financial crisis. The second part describes foreign relations of Iceland, its foreign trade and foreign investments. There are also mentioned competitiveness of Iceland and relations with the Czech Republic.

International trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation

The aim of this thesis is to analyse international trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation. There were important trade and historical connections between those two countries in the past. Since the new century, the trade balance of the Czech Republic and Russia had been growing and the breaking point came in 2008, when the economic crisis stroke and continued with the imposition of sanctions on the international trade of the Russian Federation. The evolution of both countries till 1990s is characterized in the introductory part. The next part describes the evolution of the last ten years. The third chapter concentrates specifically on sanctions, their cause and their impact on the Russian economy. The last chapter contains the prediction of future economic progress and the impact on the progress not only of those two nations.

Hedging of currency risk of manufacturing company

This thesis has an aim to create a hedging strategy for currency risks for exporting company. The main reason for hedging are possible losses that can be triggered by changes in exchange rate. In the case of exchange rate changes exporting company may face three different types of exposure: transaction, translation and economic exposure. This thesis concentrates on transaction exposure and builds a hedging strategy for exporting company AAA a.s. This firm is analyzed from qualitative side as well as from quantitative which is presented in the form of historical overview of the company and its position in international group. Based on this analysis as well as on theoretical findings, the hedging strategy for AAA a.s. was proposed. This strategy uses external and internal means of hedging.

The aim of the thesis is to describe the life-cycle of tangible fixed assets theoretically in the first part of the thesis, practically in the second part. The practical part describes tangible fixed assest from the view of Škoda Auto a.s. To characterize the approach of Škoda Auto a.s. to International Financial Reporting Standards and to evaluate the process of calculating the technical condition of tangible fixed assets belong to aims of this thesis as well.
