Administration and developmnet of district heating in Pilsen, heating process in Pilsen
Lišková, Sonja ; Šouša, Jiří (advisor) ; Janečková, Jitka (referee)
The diploma thesis is dedicated to the development and maintenance of the central heating supply system in Plzeň. The first part of the thesis is devoted to a brief overview of the city's history and to the development of the energy sector and the beginnings of the construction of energy sources producing thermal energy in Plzeň. The next part contains the analysis of the administrative development of heat sources and the history of their construction in the city. In the middle of the 19th century, important industrial enterprises started to establish their first own energy sources. The energy source of the Škoda Plzeň plant, which was one of the first in the city, also used to heat the city's flats after the World War II and later incorporated into the central heating system. In order to supply heat, the city began to build heating plants in several parts of the city in the late 60s of the 20th century and followed this process with the construction of a central heating source in the early 70s. The last part of the thesis deals with the period after privatisation, when the legal form of business was changed and the Plzeňská teplárenská a. s. joint-stock company was established. The final summary compares the reasons for the construction of heat sources in Plzeň, which can be divided into three...
"I like the Pilsners after all." Fridolín Macháček, Pilsner historian, archivist, museologist and cultural activist. Images of life and friendship in the mirror of his correspondence with Václav Vojtíšek

Jitka Janečková: "I like Pilsners after all". Fridolín Macháček, Pilsner historian, archivist, museologist and cultural activist. Images of life and friendship reflected in his correspondence with Václav Vojtíšek This rigorous work compares two life stories of friendship and cooperation between two major city archivists - Fridolín Macháček (1884-ň1954) from Pilsen and Václav Vojtíšek (1883-ň1974) from Prague. It is based on the preserved series of mutual correspondence (the edition of the most interesting 411 letters from 1905ň-1954) and other archival sources. It is incredible how promptly and fully the two friends and colleagues were able to engage in professional work in the archives as well as other institutions. The full expansion of their activities took place during the First Republic, which paid for the major czech archival experts and facilitated significant contribution of Macháček and Vojtíšek to the development of many local archives in Bohemia and Moravia (for example, they played a major role in establishing Ostrava city archive). The wide professional interest of the archival inspector for Bohemia (V. Vojtíšek) and monuments conservator (F. Macháček) in various local archives and museums also demonstrated the admirable and extraordinary cooperation outside their native region,...

Administrative development of the village Cernice during the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic and in the initial phase of the occupation
Lišková, Sonja ; Šouša, Jiří (advisor) ; Janečková, Jitka (referee)
The thesis deals with the development of self-government of a small village Černice. The micro-historical research of municipal government is a key topic not only for understanding national history, but it's also useful as a basis for studying the origins of the current legislation and the activity of administrative bodies. Researching the development and various phenomenons of the society in the past often helps us to better understand the current attitudes and conclusions, as these are often derived from past experience. First of all, the work represents an outline of the history of first reference regarding the village. The following sections then characterize the development of a small village, located near the large city of Pilsen in modern times. It represents the village and it's development during the First Czechoslovak Republic, a significant part of Czech history, and describes the key turning points. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the life of citizens, education, religious life, culture and also activities of local associations and organisations.
Constraint Programming as Means for Solving Discrete Problems
Janečková, Jitka ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Černý, Michal (referee)
Application of constraint programming (CP) is one of the possible ways of solving discrete problems. It can be used for both search for feasible solution and optimization. CP offers a whole range of approaches for either a solution search or for acceleration of the process of its search -- from search algorithms or consistency techniques to propagation algorithms, which are basically only a combination of the two preceding methods. For optimization we most often use branch and bound approach, which differs in some aspects from a method of the same name used in mathematical programming (MP). Comparison of CP and MP is interesting in many other aspects. With CP the formulation of problems is more flexible, which allows for creation of often simpler and smaller models. On the other hand, its disadvantage is a limited use: Constraint satisfaction (optimisation) problem, as we call the constraint programming problem, cannot contain any discrete variables. CP is suitable especially for problems with a lot of constraints and only few variables, ideally only two. In the beginning, the paper introduces the basic terms of constraint programming, then it describes algorithms and techniques used for solving discrete problems and compares CP with mathematical programming.
