Dispensing medication to the ICU and ARU within the scope of nursing practice

v anglickém jazyce: This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of application of infusion therapy in ICU and ARU. Infusions has become an integral part of daily routine and complex medical care of patients on the critical care unit. The objectives of the thesis included the evaluation of the level of knowledge of nurses in ICU and ARU, finding potential errors and pitfalls in the preparation of infusion and then identifying effective interventions to eliminate them in nursing practice. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of critical care unit and intensive demands that are placed on nursing staff. In other chapters are listed all the aspects related to infusion therapy. In the empirical part is included in the research methodology, data collection process and the final interpretation of the results of subsequent analysis and discussions. Adult Advanced Life Support in Hospital

The Thesis deals with the issue of provision of advanced life support in a Hospital. The main focus is the process, algorithm, of successive individual steps, its correct performance in practice should lead to the provision of effective CPR or to minimize subsequent post-resuscitation complications. The Thesis is mainly focused on non-medical health worker, as an important member of the healthcare team, his tasks, responsibilities and competences. The theoretical part will be processed according to the current guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council. Within the subsequent empirical part is included the methodology of realized research, the process of data collection, and the final interpretation of the results, followed by analysis and discussion. The survey is conducted by quantitative research, using the questionnaire survey. The aim of the research was to determine respondents' level of theoretical training, ways of continuing education and current conditions at selected workplaces. Based on detected results, the steps for nursing practice are proposed.
