Using board games in the Czech language lessons in primary school

My diploma thesis on the Using board games in the Czech language lesson in primary school is divided into two parts. The first part deals with theoretical starting points based on experiential and constructivist pedagogy. It focuses on the game from several points of view - as a free activity and joy during life and as a didactic method in which pupils' education is realized, a class climate is formed and a board game is applied. Further there are described places where you can play board games outside the school environment. The second part is devoted to the production of my own board games and their subsequent use in the teaching of the Czech language in the fourth year of primary school. In conclusion, I reflect on their suitability for teaching, highlight their advantages, possible pitfalls and suitable variations and forms of gradation. Systematics and phylogeography of diploid lineages of Arabidopsis arenosa complex

The Arabidopsis arenosa species complex is closely related to the model species Arabidopsis thaliana. Distribution range of the diploid lineage covers most parts of Central and South-eastern Europe with a remarkable diversity of ecological niches from sea level to alpine peaks. There is still little known about genetic relationships among the diploid populations of A. arenosa. The evolutionary history of the diploid cytotype across its entire range was explored by using 14 nuclear microsatellite loci. Five lineages occupying biogeographically distinct regions were identified in Arabidopsis arenosa complex. These lineages were labelled as Western Carpathians, Eastern Carpathians, Pannonian Lowland, Dinaric Alps and Baltic Shore (according to geographical regions where these lineages occur). Methods used to study the effects of grazing on vegetation

Calcareous grasslands are one of the most diverse habitats of Northern and Central Europe. Most of the calcareous grasslands were created by human agricultural activities and therefore they need some kind of management for their long-lasting maintenance. These habitats have been vanishing during last few decades and that's why there were many experiments provided all around the world to examine possible ways of their restoration and preservation. Grazing of livestock has been a traditional management in many places and is often being investigated nowadays. The aim of this work is to search and compare methods that are used to experimentally study the effects of grazing on vegetation. These experiments use different methods although they usually have the same goal - high species richness. Most of these studies are from Great Britain, Germany and states of Northern Europe.
